Rossi signs a 2 year deal with Yamaha!

That leaves a big doubt on future of Jorge at Yamaha. Looks more likely that he may be headed towards Ducati!

A quick analysis on Rossi's signing by Motomatters.com.

According to this article, Jorge has the contract from Yamaha on his table from Thursday but has not signed yet. He seems to be evaluating performance of Ducatis in first couple of races before making his decision.

That also leaves us with 3 more seasons to savor the GOAT. :)

What is still unclear is who will be the No.1 rider for Yamaha? If it's Vale, then the Jorge-Duke team may become a reality. As on date, Jorge has been expressing that he wants to be with works Yamaha and go on to become a Yamaha legend (?).

Qualifying:
1. JLo
2. Marq
3. Vinales
4. A. Ionnane
5. V. R. 46

The teams are looking closer this year. Last year every now and then Ducati was in the mix. This year even Suzuki looks good. I think due to change in regulations, new tyre supplier, the races will be close. The race results are more dependant on rider skills and dynamics of the bike.

Which channel is airing the races this year? Star sports?

Another article from the same website and writer says that both, Rossi and Lorenzo, were sent out the contract simultaneously. And this news comes straight from the boss' mouth-
"In a press conference in which Lin Jarvis got to display his mastery of public relations, the Yamaha boss explained exactly how the Rossi deal had come about, and what the current situation was with Lorenzo. They had both been offered a contract, Jarvis said, the email going out simultaneously to the two riders. Rossi had agreed immediately, and signed the deal at Qatar. Lorenzo had taken a waiting approach, and was not yet willing to sign."

Oh, and also, Rossi has begun his mind games-
When asked about Lorenzo's contract situation, Rossi brought up Ducati. He told the media that he expected Lorenzo to stay, despite an offer from Ducati. The reason? "It would take a lot of courage to make the switch to Ducati. That kind of decision takes a lot of balls, so I think he [Lorenzo] will stay."

He he he! It is 2016, not 2003/4 :D. Rossi's current competition can beat him mano-e-mano, hence his mind games will not work.

Anyways, old man to stay for 2 more years. Good news. Sepang 2016, here I come with the 46 shirt...

Crazy Moto 3 and moto 2 races. Moto3 decided by .007 sec and 7 of the top 9 moto2 riders jumped their starts..

Fingers crossed! Here's hoping for another sensational, stunning ride from Rossi to take victory, a repeat of last year's Qatar race!

Hoping for a great Rossi show as always.

Just wondering what is the use of umbrella at night!? Is it dew or just brand promotion?

First lap of #motogp... Watching AI29 pass Lorenzo, I am reminded of Stoner blitzing past Rossi in '07. #melikey

Wow. That was much much closer than expected.
This season is going to be all about tyre choices, it seems.

Pretty cautious stuff, not many hard moves at all from riders - testing out the tyres over race distance I guess.

Looks like the gaps are even tighter this year.
