What a lap from Rossi, He was getting better and better with every lap, chipping away a tenth each time around. And finally pole position :thumbs up.
Going to be a cracker of a race tomorrow.
Here is the proof, the old man need momentum to be on pole :D.

It was wonderful watching him put personal best time one after the other.

Lol, copying someone's gears is working out well for the old dog.
What motivation, passion and never say die attitude, stark contrast from the moaning world champs we have.
Gonna be a great race.
Cheers,
Parth
I hope Rossi keeps doing good this season..for the health of this thread :0 . Last year Motogp thread outshone that of F1 by a wide margin. This year, a very slow start to the discussions till now. Wind the right grip open!
The last lap of Rossi was a real blinder! The saying "Never write the doctor off" seems so true! Looks like he has a good chance to score the first win of the season.
On a side note, Yamaha has introduced a sensor to analyse the clutch use pattern of Rossi. Apparently, the riders are supposed to use clutch only for the start. They are now analysing to see if Rossi is using it in as a habit (from the two stroke days)

In jerez, no less... That's like, in the nuts.
Good stuff, vale.
Pole, led all the laps, fastest lap, what more do you want.
Doctor, you legend, what a race.
Jerez Rostrum -
1. Vale
2. J Lo
3. Marq
Vale celebrates his slowest victory lap clap:
And that's how you stamp your class, Jerez applauds Valentino Rossi.
Qualifying demons conquered at the age of 37, reinventing racing styles once again and breaking the Spaniards back in their own backyards.
G.O.A.T
Similar to how he did to moaner in 2008 when all thought that stoner winning at Indy was a foregone conclusion.
Shows to jlo that the European rounds DO NOT belong to him.
This was needed, and this was delivered, in typical God style.
PS - a god winning on another God's birthday. Couldn't get better.
And I was expecting exactly this..Lorenzo bashing. Just like how a good lunch is incomplete without a desert, looks like Rossi fan celebrations are incomplete without Lorenzo/ Marquez bashing. Next year, I'm sure Vinales will add to the list. Him being yet another Spaniard will only spawn new conspiracy theories.
There were many races that Lorenzo lost and accepted straight away that he wasn't fast enough. In Argentina, he crashed out and took the blame on himself saying that he lacked concentration and patience during the race. I'm sure he can be given some slack when he has something to complain about. He just sucks in the PR dept though.

Not bashing if it's true. Did he encounter wheel spin from the 1st lap itself when Rossi left him for dead?
Did Rossi and the others not face major wheelspin?
Did Rossi not up his pace at will to increase the gap to 3+ seconds when jlo tried to close in?
Lorenzo was shattered, totally numb post race perhaps because of his supposed domination of European rounds which got snuffed out and he could not take it.
Ducati's entire weekend got ruined due to wheelspin I don't see them moaning about it, at least claiming they could've won with " a bigger margin "
No harm in being a graceful loser and saying the other guy was faster, is there?
Also, no MM bashing here where do you find it?
:D

He was complaining about wheel spin in straights and in all gears..I'm sure everyone had wheel spin issues out of turns..but in straights is unusual. The truth, only Lorenzo and Michelin knows. One will not be believed. Other will not admit.
Talking about graceful losing, I'm sure Rossi demonstrated it by missing the Motogp Awards ceremony last year.
Look at the team photo after today's race. Lorenzo was atleast graceful enough to smile.

Rightly spotted - just like how Lorenzo endeared himself to millions by trying to barge in on the CAS hearing and crying himself hoarse asking for a stricter penalty. LOL
Let's not digress and bring 2015 here, mods won't like it much.
Cheers to a fantastic, flawless weekend for the GOAT, surely the first of more to come this year.clap:clap:
@Badri, it goes like this:
Lorenzo speaks of technical problems ---> he's complaining, such a loser
Rossi openly blames other rivals ---> such a god
Lorenzo riders crashes/slower than usual due to (real/perceived) problem ---> take that, you sore loser
Rossi crashes out/behind the Spaniard(s) ---> he's not got the right setup.
Rossi can speak ill of others and it's not character assassination.
Rossi can lose races and titles for 6 years and he's still "goat".
Rossi can abuse his rights due to the huge fanbase he has and Dorna lets it go. Imagine another rider saying Rossi doesn't have the balls to race on Ducati.
Lorenzo should speak less, because no matter what fanboys of Rossi will find something to blame and besides, the tech debrief is for the pit crew, the media and public doesn't need to know.
And let's all completely ignore how boring the race was because one rider led from pole, first lap to last lap with no overtaking duels. Oh but just because it's Rossi doing it, let's call it "domination" , not boring. Boring is when others dominate a race.
I'm fanboy of nobody.
But it was nice to see Vale dominating like this, every one was questioning about his skills and also asking was he past his prime. This is a good answer for all those doubters.
He is one of the greatest motorcycle rider out there, no doubt.
He got the passion, plenty of it and skills too, as shown today, why not let the old guy race. Let's see what he got up his sleeves.
These world champions, I tell you, are ruthless, I'm not the one who said that, its Bernie Ecclestone.
I hope Dani can find pace and fight for victories in coming races, he deserves a World title but if he ride like this, he won't. Hoping he won't have any more injuries and Honda will up their game in the future.
