I usually keep all these channels deactivated and then activate the relevant one only during the race weekends. Activation barely takes a few minutes and it also ensures money is not wasted on a channel that is not useful on the rest of the 320 odd days

Thanks Ashwin, sounds good.

When I tried this on the Tata Sky app it creates an amount to pay for the entire month. You must be paying the INR 22.xx which is payment for one day. Is my understanding correct?

Cheers

From what I remember, it shows the billing for the entire month but the balance is deducted on a daily-basis. So you will be deducted an additional ₹22 per day until you choose to remove the channel

As per tweet by Motomatters, Marc Marquez had a bad shunt yesterday and totalled the RC213, in addition to falling on his bad shoulder.

Re: The 2020 MotoGP championship thread

Just came here to check for streaming options for the race this year.

@Cyborg - I paid for the motogp app last year and well, I loved it but thought it was too pricey. And to be honest, I didn't really get amazing clarity either.

Thanks for the updates everyone that SonyLIV is the best bet. I will be using it this season. And yes, I did watch the Australian Open using the app and it worked really well.

Qatar MotoGP cancelled due to ongoing travel restrictions and growing fear of coronavirus.

Re: The 2020 MotoGP championship thread

Thankfully Moto2 and Moto3 races are still a go!

So it won't be a wasted race weekend! I still feel sorry for the people who bought tickets for the premier class event.

Cheers

Re: The 2020 MotoGP championship thread

The Thai GP has been postponed due to corona virus scare . So there will be no premier class races this month. As of now, US GP is the opening round of premier class.

Re: The 2020 MotoGP championship thread

I had started tracking Thai MotoGP couple of weeks ago since flight tickets had crashed by 60-70% from their January levels. I guess the airlines were wiser in foreseeing the impact. As for me, I really hope to watch a MotoGP this year in what may be last worthy appearance of Rossi. Hopes are fading though.

Same here. After a little research, just saw that its not on Ten network channels as well. Searched a bit and found that Discovery’s DSport has aquired MotoGP rights, and I dont have the channel. There goes SonyLiv subscription. Luckily, its on JioTV.

Damn, is that a separate channel? And is JioTV just a service provider?

Yes. DSport is a separate channel from Discovery AFAIK. Jio TV is an app available in Play Store and Apple Store, just that you need a jio sim to start the app. The channel is free for jio sim through Jio TV app and I could see Moto3 and Moto2 as of now. Another option is Through MotoGP app. Quite costly at around 10k per year.

Thank you so much for the info. That means I'm out of options to watch the races this season. Wish it had stayed at SonyLIV. I did use the motogp app last year - not worth it IMHO.

Ran into the same issues as you guys.

The alternative I had was to use sportsurge.net. It gives you a list of streams that you can try and watch the race on. I used it to catch the F1 Testing this year. Some streams allow you to change the bitrate to give you the best chance of a smooth stream.

OT: Did you attend the Ferrari Racing Days at Atlanta (asking since your location says Atlanta)?
