Keeping in mind that overtaking is near impossible in Monaco, its all about your qualifying position. I put my cards on Massa or Alonso but have a feeling Kimi is going to pull off a pleasant surprise!

It is going to be Massa on pole and since overtaking is nearly impossible we'll see a Ferrari podium.

Monaco is my favourite circuit.

Mclaren! it is going to be.
I think Alonso will bounce back this time. Followed by Hamilton.

Boring race weekend ...

Betting on Massa in Ferrari ... on current form. As is the case in Monaco usually ... Qualifying is everything. Don't quite like that about that place. Gets boring sometimes watching high performance cars follow each other for an hour and a half. One of the relatively less lively races of the season.

Having said that ... we only need to look back at last year: Schumi - Qualified LAST (time deleted for blocking others !!), finished 5th.

But then Schumi was a different story ...

I wish Kimi wins, but as reality speaks I would bet on Massa for the win and Hamilton and Alonso in podium.
Its truly sad that Kimi is only able to get the worst out of his cars!!! When Fhonso can match McLaren istyle, Hamilton can match F1 istyle why not Kimi!!!
Kimi I hope You get on grips quite quick.

In Monaco 2 things are important Qualifying position and Pit strategy.pole is important when strategies are similar, but with a different strategy starting from 2-3 rd is not a bad position. Most important is consistency from the drivers around the narrow streets of Monaco.

Only overtaking opportunity is Nouvelle chicane after the tunnel, but that requires some determination from the drivers and confidence in their machinery.
as Massa has said it will be a lottery as a fast car can easily get involved in a crash.

Yes. Overtaking is very difficult in Monaco, except if you are Schumi. I will bet on Massa this time.

A lot depends on Massa' s ability to pull off his one lap wonder.
However lets not write off kimi just yet, a couple of more races and he will know it works differently at ferrari.

mason.

Massa's never been good at Monaco. Kimi and Alonso are good, and even rookie Hamilton comes in after having won here in F3 & GP2, so he obviously knows the circuit well. Alsonso though has something to prove now after being overshadowed by his younger teammate.

Tough call really. I'd place my 3$ on Alonso pulling through with Kimi and Lewis fighting all the way.

All the focus is on Ferrari & Mclaren. But consider this...Monaco is one of the only tracks where lesser teams can compete with the big boys.

Old guns and Monaco specialists like Trulli, Coulthard and Fisi would fancy their chances. But something tells me that the man of the moment is ready to seize his chance in Monaco...

Chances of rain in Monaco this weekend. That should spice things up a bit.

Kimi and Alonso are previous winners at Monaco. Lewis goes well around the principality too. Its only Massa who dosent have a good record at Monaco. Lets not forget DC who is a winner here and his car is improving like no bodies business.
Monaco has always been a gamble. Its down to tyre choice, qualifying and pit stop strategy. Also the Safety car plays an important role here, not to mention the new rules when a safety car will be deployed.
I think Kimi will nudge Massa with Alonso and Lewis close behind him.
