The doctor is starting in 4th but I would still count him in for a race win here at Jerez even though he is not fully fit due to his shoulder injury !

What a brilliant race by Lorenzo. I hope he gives it all this year. He's a good chance as everyone for the championship this year.

Moto GP definitely appears to be more competitive that F1.

F1 made a some stupid rule changes that took the charm out of the sport.

Although Lorenzo is a terrific rider, I have my loyalties with 'THE DOCTOR'.

Yamahas are fast this year. But if Stoner can get going he's always a threat to Rossi. Ducati will be fast, they always are. Watch out for rookie Ben Spies though. Maybe not this year, but he'll be on the podium sooner than later, provided he's a good bike.. I was really impressed with him last year in the superbike series. He blew away the competition there in his rookie year. I'm hoping Ducati will drop Nikki Hayden and sign him in the coming years.

MotoGp vs F1. No contest, MotoGp wins every time.

Stoner To Honda ?

As per one of the articles on Crash net website, Stoner seems to be heading to the Repsol Honda Team, and a high possibility of Rossi heading towards Marlboro Ducati!

Read more in the link below.

Stoner to Honda a done deal? | MotoGP News | May 2010 | Crash.Net

Seems like the offer that Ducati made to Lorenzo last year to rope him in has created a drift between the management and Stoner (it was rumored to be double the retainer they were paying Stoner).

Even if Rossi doesnt move the Ducati way, it will solve the problem for Fiat Yamaha as they are in a fix after Rossi clearly said in a press conference that next year "Yamaha will have to choose him or Ore-hey" (just like he pronounces his name)

As always, I would like to see a Ducati vs the rest fight. Ducati and Stoner better step up, both machine and rider. Or it'll be a long season for the Duc.

If first practise session is any indicator, it looks like the 2 FYs and Marlboro Duke of Casey will have lots of French romance..

Quick update: Great race going on there.
  • Great duel going between Lorenzo and Rossi. Finally Lorenzo was able to push Rossi out of track and take lead.
  • Casey Stoner crashed out. (He seems to have affinity to crashing).
  • Pedrosa is close on heels on no. 3.

What a lead!
Lorenzo is in top form. Last years loss seems to be working for him.
Stoner seems to be stoned and is #13 in the C'ship!
Rossi's cool as a cucumber since there are 15 more races to go. One spill by Jorge and he should safely climb on to the C'ship lead.
And Yamaha is the benefactor from this duel.

It pains me to say this, but it looks like Lorenzo will be too fast for Rossi this year. I hope it's a setup issue for VR, and it is something he can turn around soon. Else, barring crashes, Lorenzo is going to walk it.
