Silverstone, great last lap pass by Ben Spies gives him his first podium not even halfway into his first season on a privater bike. Lorenzo's domination was expected but Divisioso was a pleasant surprise as was Randy D for most of the race.

Catalunya surprise... Lorenzo is getting stronger and stronger every race. rossi looking to comeback on 15th august at the Brno circuit. Lorenzo on Pole position this sunday followed by casey and randy.

Has rossi confirmed his movement to ducati for next year?

Glad to see Stoner finally having a decent race. Looks like this is gonna be Lorenzos' year. Its there for him. When Spies gets a factory ride, everyone else may as well pack up. I believe he'll be one of the greatest riders of this generation.

From the telemetry during the race, I can tell that the Hondas are THE best bikes on the grid.
No wonder "No name" Dovisioso had the race lead for a while.

Stoner was huffing and puffing at Pedrosa's tailpipes but Pedrosa was braking lighter, entering the corner faster and was on throttle at the exit much much earlier than Stoner on the Ducati.

With Rossi out of the C'ship, I was dozing through the race and I think there was no change in the positions in the last quarter of the race.
What a slumber fest!

Can't help but feel for Rossi. This should have been his year again. Looking at Yamaha's domination of the races this could have been a straight fight between Rossi and Lorenzo for the championship.

Lorenzo and his machine set up is way superior to everyone else. It's pretty clear by now that Stoner has taken a mental hit after his crash last year. He's not the same rider that smashed everyone else when he won the championship.

I wish Ducati would sign Ben Spies instead of Rossi as their next rider, as widely expected. He's definitely the future of MotoGP. Apparently it's Rossis' dream to ride for Ducati. Oh well.

Valentino completes test at Misano!

Rossi rode a total of 26 laps at Misano on a YZF-R1 WSB machine, provided by the Yamaha World SBK Team.

The reigning World Champion was able to ride well but had some pain in his leg and shoulder. Rossi will now continue with an updated rehabilitation programme and make a decision within the next week as to whether he will ride at the German Grand Prix at Sachsenring, in 10 days time.

Enjoy the pics.

Great race for Pedrosa, what a fight with Lorenzo, making it pedrosa-Lorenzo-and stoner on the podium. Good race by Rossi. Welcome Back Doctor.

Rossi was amazing in the race. Super fight between him and Stoner till the very last corner. What a comeback for the Doctor.

What a rocking start by Dani. Pole position means nothing when Danny boy is around because our man takes off from 4th like being shot out of a cannon.

Felt so bad to see him crash. Same corner took out couple others.

Daring ride by Rossi to get podium. Congtars to Casey for his best finish of the season.

Wow, what a race. Rossi was his magnificent self. But no one is going to stop Lorenzo his championship this year barring an injury. Stoner tried but simply just not up to the mark this year. The injury last year has definitely taken a toll.

@razorblade: I'll probably be there. Don't know for sure though. Since, I own a 999, I'll have access to the Ducati courtesy area, which is always amazing.
