2010 F1 Petronas - Malaysian Grand Prix

2 races done. First one boring and the Second one got a bit exciting.

What we could garner from the season openers...

Redbulls are faster but lack the finishing skills

Ferrari's are the quickest and reliable and agressive too.

Mclaren's have the pace but in-consistent in strategy.

Mercedes, They need to do a lot to catch up with the top contenders. They have the much hyped and the much slower car in the lot.

Force India are now up amongst the top contenders this year. Both the races saw them finishing with points.

Others are catching up soon and content filling the last row in the grid, its a learning phase for those guys and they are doing well.

Going into the Malayasian GP at the Sepang circuit, in the coming weekend, its one of the high speed circuits, very well designed.

What is that we can predict for the coming race this weekend.

I hope it doesnt rain at sepang this year, or at least not as bad as it did last year. I would hopefully want to see a full race winner, not half.

with the two long straights and the last hairpin turn we can definetly see good overtaking in turn 1. a drizzle mid race will make it exciting.

It puts a lot of pressure on him. Not only its his territory but its also Petronas Home race, the main sponser for the team. They really need to work on their car and bring out something.

This is not only his territory but petronas home race. The main sponser for the team. Hope brawn comes out with some thing.

Even Niki Lauda had said we need to wait till Malaysia to see the Shumi back in action

Sepang is Ferrari turf, not Schumi. Schumi won because he was behind the wheels of a Ferrari. The prancing horse have won here 5 times in the last decade, that's almost 50% win rate. Ferrari 1-2 in the offing.

What gsb350 meant was the main sponsor for Mercedes GP is Petronas, hence it becomes the home ground.

I hope Niki Lauda's prediction comes true, i wish Schumi all the Best for the coming race.

Again we can expect rain there, but we certainly dont want the race to get washed away like the last year.

Since all the excitement is gone due to refuelling ban, We need some hardcore racing this time please.

If Mercedes has improved the speed and with nobody putting Cars in Carrom board (one hitting other which slide into another and kick it oute.g.Button->Alonso->Shumi) then I am sure Shumi will be there in podium!

Cheers!

+1 . ferrari is dominant here.
it is going to be a straight fight between ferrari and the "ball breaking" red bulls . micheal will finish behind the mclarens.

They're starting the race an hour early than they did, last year. Aren't they?

Spoilsport..what do you mean Pavan?? As long as it doesn't turn into a deluge like last year rain is just what the doctor ordered for Sepang.

On a different note..similar to the rear diffuser drama last year this year there is an f-duct drama. Basically some slats in McLaren's rear wings that help the driver control downforce. All the other teams are now jumping onto the bandwagon with redesigned rear wings.
