What a disasterous start to the last arce of season !!!

The race started very well for Vettel & Hamilton, but not for Alonso (in P3) has he does a very slow start compared to other cars & Button in P4 overtakes him before the first turn.
Then the disaster for Schumi. As he tries to overtake Roseberg, he spins off the track & then Liuzzi hits him & both are out of the race & very huge pile of debry on the track & to say at last, safety car on the track from the very first lap 1 to lap 5.
(Very disappointing last race for Schumi as well as Force India)

Looks like Webber is a lonely man out there. Even Torro Rosso (which is nothing but RedBull B team) driver Alguersuari took a long time to let Webber by. He could have jumped Alonso in the pit stop there.
Race just got even more interesting, now that Rosberg and Petrov are ahead of Alonso on track.

Good in lap from Vettel, keeps him comfortably ahead of Hamilton. Alonso HAS to overtake Petrov and Rosberg if Vettel wins this. Ferrari must be kicking themselves now for pitting Alonso so early.

Summary is RBR produced a superior car and stayed ahead of everyone to win both championships. Ferrari produced a average car and stayed behind mostly. They did a poor job today and overall to lose. Well done Alonso, Well done Vettel. Hamilton did a awesome job today but not good enough.

Renault proved to be the jokers in the pack on the final day. I would have preferred a head to head between the top title contenders.

Congratulations Sebastian

..>Sebastian Vettel - Take a bow. This guy has the misfortune of reliability issues thrice while leading the race in the season.Every Tom,dick and Harry launches into him as if its his mistake that he is the preferred driver in the team and still keeps a cool head to pull off a very famous win today.

You deserve it Vettel. You deserve it more than the other title contenders and you have prooved yourself worthy of the trust the team had in you

Webber - to sum it up in one word CHOKER.Couldnt put together a set of results together when it mattered the most. His last win came 7 races back.Whether he likes it or not, officialy he will have No 2 on his car next year

Alonso - Get a life mate. What the hell were you doing showing your hands to Vitaly Petrov during the slow down lap.You wanted him to just pack his car and leave the way for you or what - Sire Alonso?Did you notice the label on his car said Renault and not Ferrari? That silly gesture makes it all the more sweet that he didnt win the WDC this time around

Edit:Thank God Schumi walked away from that first lap incident. The ForceIndia car just missed his head

Firstly I am relieved nothing happened to Schumi.

Congrats to the new World Drivers Champion, Sebastian Vettel! He has shown that he has what it takes to be a champion even after numerous mechanical failures in his car. Red-Bull seem to know whom to support right from the start of the season.

Good drives from Hamilton and Button to secure second place in WCC for McLaren.

I can only feel sorry for Alonso, let down by the team after a terrible call to his pit-stop. Wonder which whiz-kid had the thought to bring him in that early, considering the pace Button had even in the later stages of the race with soft tires.

Red-Bull basically pulled a dummy over Ferrari by calling Webber in and Ferrari fell for it.

Webber for all his cry of RB favoring Vettel hasn't shown the mettle needed for a champion. He seems to have grit but lacks in out-right pace and ultimately lost the WDC which I feel could be his last chance to win one.

And no word to describe Massa's season. He has been poor all through with a trace of brilliance in a race or two.

Hopefully Ferrari will be in contention next year and Alonso will direct his anger into developing the car well and reduce the mistakes made over the season and be a champion with Ferrari.

Congrats again to Red-Bull and Vettel!!! Deserved champions

Congratulations to Vettel. He is a worthy champion. However I would have loved to see Alonso winning it.

What a dramatic race this has been . But one man clearly had win his mind . Vettel , you have done it ! BRAVO

I expected Alonso to win , as it has been a SPANISH year , but he never looked to win , all weekend . To make the matter worst , a seventh finish .

And what the hell Renault and Force India thinking !

Losing a place to Button, and Ferrari's poorly judged pit stop call, cost Alonso the championship.
Also, it shows that cars from the top five teams are so close in pace that pit stop strategy has become extremely important.
As far as Force India is concerned, they finish one point behind Williams, and Sutil finishes tied on points with Barichello but behind him. Bad luck for Liuzzi, running into MSC's car, and the race ending for him. Lucky for MSC, Liuzzi's tyre missed his head narrowly.
