Once again Ranga

Cruise control DOES work on XUV in 3rd Gear. Yes Sir! even in third gear.
See the pic below the left oval has " 3 " showing the 3rd gear engaged and in centre you would see green icon showing cruise engaged. Iam doing around 40 kmph at that time.
XUV ought to have better tech than Scrorp buddy.

I guess its because they dont want the engine running at higher band of rpm for a longer duration when an upper gear option is available. Try to run cruise control at 70-80kmph in the third gear. See if it disengages

have you checked whether the cruise control issue you had is coming in all gears from 3-6 ? You might want to check and confirm and then talk to the A$$ about this.

I would also suggest you try decelerating progressively [via the CC button] and check whether the CC disengages.

Thats not true ranga. Cruise control in scorpio works in 3rd, 4th or 5th gear from 40 kmph onwards.

(we are also based in Gurgaon, so if you see a similar looking XUV, don't be surprised!)

Thanks dude.
So any news from sterling ?

Expecting the XUV to land somewhere in 4th week, so should be able to take the delivery around 27th / 28th Nov. Any things we should be careful about / should check (apart from TBHP PDI) that you can recommend?

Behemoth

I`d say check the front left passenger door release handle and the lock .
To do this you can engage central locking (with engine on )and then unlock , repeat it a few times and try opening the left door after each unlock and there you might find it unable to open, as its a commonly noticed issue.
There might be a possibility that they rectify it in production line in your batch of vehicles but still if it happens, it can be really embarrassing while showing off your vehicle to your excited kin/friends.

Secondly you may nudge the vehicle a few steps and apply brakes, repeat it a few times and see if abs light ghost haunts ! It would appear for no reason when you take off from a red light etc and disappear for no reason.

Thats only my 2 bit . Would suggets more as I discover more.

Let`s catch up in gugaon once you get your beast. It`d be fun to watch 2 chrome loaded silver XUVs parked alongside

Hi Pankaj,
Took delivery of my W8 FWD Black today from Sterling motor co Gurgaon.
Havent faced any issue with the left door unlocking , though will check it again tomm.
Also, thankfully havent got the ABS light yet (keeping my fingers crossed on that).

However, I am finding the gearbox quite notchy in engaging the 1st & 2nd and reverse gear. Have u faced the same in your xuv? While the Team-bhp review it does mention the weird gear throw for the 1st, not sure how its for other owners.

besides, would love to catch up for a XUV meet
