Rahul, good to know about your ownership with the Innova's. If possible can you please share your experiences with the dealership during the repairs after the accidents and the interaction with the insurance company.
Actually I too had a minor looking accident

Every one in my family has always insured with New India Assurance Co. As soon as I had the accident, I called up the development officer of the insurance co, and he directed a surveyor from Satara to come and photograph the car. Did the panchanama, telling the police I want it only as a formality and don't want to pursue the tractor owner. After that we towed the car back to DSK Toyota at Bavdhan. The surveyor from Pune visited the next day, and took the photos again, and gave a go ahead for the work.
He also suggested that once the front end is stripped, the vehicle should be towed to wheel alignment pit, and if correct aligning is not possible, the chassis can be declaired as damaged and he will sanction the replacement.
he visited twice more, and on completion too.
I payed full amount part by cheque, and final by credit card, and took delivery, on submitting all bills including crane charges etc. I got re reimbursement within 10 days.

I myself have got a '10 V with 1.79L on the ODO. We were planning to do a trip to Gavi during December End.Any Specific preventive care i'd bode well to do during the 1.8L service?

We've never done a clutch change and it's a tad hard now . No noises / No power drops.Would like your take on whether it'll last the trip or better change it?

Alternator gave up suddenly at 1.75L and replaced. Pads still have some decent lining left post ~50k Kms.

Steering definitely seems hard but the Hankooks are relatively new and would've run~50k kms. Any.Any Pointers here ?

We both have a lot in common I suppose. We both went for SAE BAJA 2015.
We both own a 2010 Innova and both have run 1,79,xxx km.

Mine is at 1,79,9xx km. Would have reached 1,80,000 km if I had brought it to office today.

Sad that your alternator failed mine was reported healthy till at 1,66,000 km after that didn't service it yet so I don't have any idea.

For the 1,80,000 service you will have to change everything which is changed at an interval of 10,000, 20,000, 30,000, 60,000 and 90,000km. I don't remember exactly but if you want I will ask my service advisor and let you know. I guess it's regular stuff only like engine oil and filters. No need of changing the differential oil as its changed at a 40,000km interval.
I feel there is no need to change the clutch if it's not showing any of the symptoms. And it won't fail all of a sudden within 1000km. Mine is making a noise while slipping the clutch since 60,000 km but I'm still pushing it as mine is driven by drivers most of the time. So no point in changing.

For the steering feeling hard check your power steering pump for leakages or the accessory belt. Also have you ever changed your ball joints. They develop play over time.
Or it may be because of your new tyres, did you upsize your tyres?

My Innova is not going to be sold till it's heart is strong ie till its engine is in good condition. Was offered 6 lakhs by a Toyota dealership when it was at 1,65,000km just like that.
I feel Innova's are not meant to be sold. You have to squeeze the life out of it.

Haha ! Do keep an eye out on the alternator then *touchwood*. Mine too is under the driver most of the time , but not only yours, a couple of other friends have also reported clutch replacements. Wonder what really triggers it.

No leakages were detected in the last service. Nope , never touched. Will get them replaced at-least on my insistence! Nope Stock sizes Hankook ME02.

Haha ! That does sound true for the car though ! But I guess resale value would take a dip with the '16 Innova launch. Or maybe it would be like Qualis - Innova Times where people still wanted the Qualis at almost on par prices.

1,80,000 km Update

The Innova crossed 1,80,000 km last week. Gave it a fresh coat of paint in order to remove the scratches and dents. It took a weeks time and the outcome is satisfactory given the price I paid. Also gave it for servicing as it had done around 15,000 km since the last service. There was nothing wrong with the car. Got the engine oil changed as well as the air filter and oil filter. Got the brakes cleaned too as they were feeling spongy. Now the initial bite has increased. Total service cost-Rs. 10,050/-

Got the battery changed to Amaron as the older Exide one died and the car was not cranking. This is the third battery I have installed. Also got the number plate changed as the numbers had faded.

Drove the 2014 Toyota Innova didn't feel much of a difference between my car and the new one. The clutch was noticeably light. Mine is a tad harder but it has done 1,20,000 km. I don't know how long it will last though.

On the mileage front it is giving me 11.5 kmpl due to the increased traffic on the NH-8, idling time is as high as 2 hours.

That's all for now, will update if anything new crops up.

Hi dean5545. Did you get the paint job done in Toyota or elsewhere? Cannot see any photos to judge the outcome. What were the charges for the complete paint work?
I just got my 5 year old Innova polished and repainted panels with a dent one 2 wheeler had done. Looking as good as new. Got it covered in insurance but could not help wondering how much a complete paint job costs.

I got the painting done outside. It would have costed me more than 50,000 for the entire car and it would take atleast 15 days which I'm not able to do. I was charged 22,000 for all the entire car except the roof.

You said it. I am thinking my innova will directly go to 'scrap', not to another owner! I too bought it in 2005, have covered 1,10,000 km in my case only one rear suspension and one front suspension has been changed. Brake pads were replaced some 30K back. Clutch is till original, but may need changing in next 10K.

But, still no squeak. No other issues. Got it painted after 10yrs at Nandi Toyota (at Rs.50,000). Didn't know it could be done cheaper. I intend to keep this for at least another 3-4 years, may be more if all goes ok.

Only thing I miss - Automatic transmission. When I go long and get back to bangalore, the leg starts to hurt. I never use Innova in the city. I drive an E2O (less polluting and easy to drive/park). But, I think Automatic Innova would've been a good idea.

My next long-distance car (whenever I change) will certainly have automatic transmission.

Clutch overhaul update:
The Innova started showing signs of clutch wear in the form of excessive rpm raising after 2,000 RPM. Also the clutch pedal had become very heavy. So decided to give it for service as well as clutch overhaul.
Took the Innova to Millenium Toyota and got the clutch overhaul as well as 2,00,000 km service done. Total damage was around ₹25,000/-
12,500 for clutch overhaul and 12,500 for 2,00,000km service which includes oil change(synthetic), differential oil change and brake cleaning. Got the car back in 4 hours time.
The clutch pedal feels featherlight and RPM shooting up without any increase in speed has stopped completely. This is the third set of clutch plate and bearing. The last overhaul was at 60,000km before which was at 30,000km all because of faulty driving style of my previous driver. This set lasted for 1,33,000 km. Hope the current one last atleast 1,50,000km.

I suspect that either you have thick or more than one mats blocking full travel of the clutch pedal or the driver is driving on half clutch in traffic condition

There can't be any other reason, please check

Usually id prefer to have changed the flywheel by now as IMO it lasts the best for 2 clutch changes.

Or was the flywheel replaced earlier ?

Yes thanks, I had also put 2 mats earlier and was facing the same issue, however I corrected soon enough

I have a 2005 Innova G3 model, clocked 80,000 km, no change so far except 3rd set of tyre and battery

The flywheel is still stock and in good condition. Proof for the same is the clutch wear on the flywheel side. I too thought that I would have to replace the flywheel but the senior technician said that it was not needed at all.
May be because my use is more on highways and less in city traffic.
