Ciaz back to action after 3 days at the A.S.S
Yes, 3 days is a first for me for a maruti. A particular part for clutch assy had to come from their Coimbatore office and hence the delay.
1,10,000 km service is the largest when it comes to the bill amount. 24,855 INR!
Ain't she gorgeous :D
Bill details
Replaced parts :
Clutch plate
Brake disc pads (last set lasted just 30k km, first two sets lasted 40k km)
Valve of EGR as there was a mild leak
Wiper
The car is great to drive. There is slight firmness with the gear slotting. Hope it smoothens out with usage.
That's a good touch Maruti:thumbs up
A fancy odo : 11 00 11 km
Ending February 2020 with a monthly run of just 2500 km. 3 days at the service station meaning 332 km of Ciaz's workload was taken on by storme.
Update : 1,11,000 km completed
Odo :
An incredible milestone in the lifetime of any vehicle, - to have all 6 digits of the odo filled by the same number :D All ones!
1,11,111 km
I hope I get to see all 2s on the odo in the future :)
Great job on the maintenance and the detailed logs (especially love the pictures). I would suggest you get the timing chain replaced in the next service, as it is a crucial bit and the manufacturers do know what they are talking about, when it comes to suggested timing chain replacement intervals. I am saying this, as it looks like you will retain the car for years to come (all 2's on the odo). Also, have you looked into fuel system cleaners and engine oil additives (both can be done once every 10K kms)? I drive a 1.25 lakh kms Ford Fiesta petrol, and those 2 additives show a good difference between in performance and feel, before and after adding. They also help to extend the life of various parts. Together, both the additives from a reputable manufacturer, like Liqui Moly, might cost you around 650 - 700/- rupees.

I have to ask, how is your running so high? Sorry if this has been asked before but I haven't seen anything. How come you drive around so much?

I have offices at 5 different locations, my home being the centre. The nearest office is 30km away.
Hence just the official drive would end up being 60-80km a day. Sometimes I have to shuttle between two different offices in the same day, which would mean 100-120 km of official travel alone. In addition to that, I use the car for gym runs - 30 km a day and college runs for dropping and picking up my better half (10 km a day).
So averaging 100+ km a day is normal. If I have official engagements in Chennai (always have such engagements 10 times a year), I do 700 km in a day. But 95% of the usage is my daily gym runs + work + college pick ups.
On an average I spend anywhere between 2 to 3 hours every day in my car. And that's the main reason I love the ciaz. The space and the comfort helps me greatly with the stress of driving.
The first 3 years of ownership saw much less usage (70k km) as I had 3 other cars at my disposal. My current home has a rather small garage and hence I have decided to use the ciaz alone. Now it is doing roughly 36-40k km a year.
Here, a fancy odo (and 777 km in the last 6 days:) )
And a superb overall fuel efficiency of 20kmpl t2t is an added bonus. In my opinion, the ciaz doesn't seem to age at all.
Update :
Completed 112k km yesterday.
Odo:
Update : Made a quick visit to Vailanganni Basilica
A 360 km round trip
Odo: 1,12,500 km

Going into quarantine with 2600 km for March.
I clocked 2600 km in 22 days! I was looking at 4000km+ this month. 144 came in crashing the routine.
Well, that is going to be a well deserved rest to the car.
Wishing everyone isolation and good health. Stay safe, stay indoors. Let's get out of this corona pandemic.
Stay indoors, well deserved rest for our rides. Stay safe. Let's kick this Corona pandemic out of India & the world.
April saw just 800 km in total. That too because I had passes for 2 days a week.
113.5k km done.
Update :
1,14,000 km completed
Update : 1,15,000 km complete
The ciaz is effortlessly munching miles in the lockdown. 85,000 more km to meet our milestone of 2,00,000 km. I really look forward to that day. :)
The car turns 5 years old this August. I am not letting it look it's age though :D
Odo : 1,15,500 km
May has been reasonably active, clocking 2000 km.
I had some free time day before yesterday and decided to paste matte black sticker on the chrome grill.
Now that I love this change, I am also thinking of powder coating the alloys to matte black too.
Here are a few Photoshopped pics
This and smoked headlamps would give the car a nice makeover marking the completion of 5 years :) I am still in a dilemma over the wheel colour change though.
Here is a comparison between current and the planned
