Also does the switch on the door panel act as a master switch bypassing the relay or the relay bypasses the switch?

Here's the video as promised:

ORVM Folding Relay

Hope this helps and clears the doubt you have.

Today got a chance to shoot a video against a plain white wall to see the output.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-A4A8yCDJFw

After a gap of roughly 3 hours, here's another video that shows the time required for the HID to reach it's full brightness. Roughly needs 35 seconds.

Osram HID (4200K) startup time

EDIT:

Adding some images too that I captured against the white wall.

Have you installed HID's for the fog as well? How come I saw two flashes during startup? Is there a delay? That shouldn't happen right.

No. Fogs are LED.

Yes there was a delay in the left one firing up in the video. Hasn't happened again (even yesterday night when I return from work). Will check again today when I leave for work.

Exactly what I needed Sir, thank you so much and sorry for the trouble.
One more question regarding the scotch lock connectors, how solid is the connection, I have read online that these connectors tend to loosen over time and may cause loose connections.
Also, you mentioned earlier you had some issues with the relay and got it changed, since the wires are with the relay how did you remove the connectors, since the metal plate needs to be pressed with pliers, was it easy to remove and are they reusable?

First time when I installed, it was using the scotch lock connectors. It is not the best way to fix but no choice. Initially it holds it tight but damages the insulation over the period of time.

Now have soldered the wires of the relay onto the ORVM wiring.

MODIFICATION #25: Stage 1 - Halogens (Philips 65W HB3) to HID (Osram XENARC 35W HB3)

When I received the item, either the ballast or the bulb or igniter was faulty so contacted the seller and asked for a replacement. They agreed and asked to inform PayTM Mall for a return pick-up and once they receive the defective unit, a new set will be sent and that happened on 12th.
Sadly this unit turns out to be defective. Shall be removing the unit tomorrow and sending back.:Frustrati Have reverted to OEM bulbs.

Below video taken to show the defect/issue.:Frustrati

Really unlucky to receive two back-to-back defective units. Probably sellers at PayTM Mall are selling the used/defective units?
I got the same kit from here: https://www.sparesncare.com/hb3-hid-...set-osram.html

The customer service is nice and the owner himself was constantly in touch with me. They were out of stock when I ordered, so they ordered the unit from the company, keeping me informed of the whole timeline.
So far haven't faced any issue with my kit.

Very much possible. Another friend and BHPian were about to buy it, warned them on the repeated failure. Happy that your unit is working fine.

PS: Welcome to the forum buddy. :)

Given your experience with PayTM Mall, its better to avoid it.
They can give other sources a go. I mean the kit itself is great, it would be a shame to give up on it because of fraud sellers.

I saw the barrel labelled 5W40.

Manual recommends 5W30.

I asked 3 HASS here in Navi Mumbai, they told that 5W30 FS from Shell is what they use.

Hello Sir, any specific reason for going with HID rather than LED. As the LED lights do not require any special ballasts and ignitors and the possibility of them failing would be less, given the lesser number of components.
Also LED lights won't have the delayed start-up problem and would consume less power as compared to HID.
The only drawback would be the fitting as they come with auxiliary cooling system, but that won't be much of an issue since in the picture you posted earlier, there seems to be a wee bit of space that can accommodate the extra bulk of LED lights.

Pardon my ignorance and do correct me if I am wrong, I haven't seen LED's with a colour temperature in the 4500K range. All I can spot are 6000K which I don't prefer at all.

Hence never considered LED's.

No sir, you are right, LED do not come in the color temperature you need. But aren't the fog lamps that you have installed are LED?
Are those of 4500K or 6000K? If they are the latter, wouldn't it be better to have same color temperature fog and head lamps?
Since there isn't much visible difference in the color temperature of both.
Just my two cents.
It's personal preference after all.:)

That fog lamps I have fit are more of show than need. Hyderabad never witnesses fog so I don't use them. Purchased that fog light for that DRL ONLY.

PS: No Sir, please!!:)

Thanks to Venu Sir's suggestion, did the same and Bingo!!

Also the car had 2 more marks arising from someone rubbing the bike handle at parking lots etc (1 on rear bumper and 1 on rear left door).
