A jackfruit can damage your car badly if you are in elephant country. Pretty dangerous fruit, if you ask me. I know of multiple cars that suffered from jackfruit-induced breaking and entering...less the entering, more the breaking.

Meanwhile I want to upgrade the HU. I want an Android based double DIN HU with big bright touch screen that has Google Navigation without mobile connection. I should be able to update the map via USB time to time. Is there something like that?

the galaxy tab from Samsung seems the only possible option.. pls see the bleow link.

Different philosophies basically.
I'd go with Samurai's decision. A cheap component that could be a bottleneck to the air intake of an engine could be replaced often.

I am naturally grumpy. I don't understand why everybody expects me give a plastic smile on photo. It looks very unnatural when I try to smile, so I don't bother with it anymore. I leave that for emoticons.

During this weekend drive to Bangalore, GV drifted at 60kmph on gravel in a wide curve on Shiradi ghat. It took about 2 seconds to regain control. Wonder what would have happened in a 2WD under the same circumstance.

My GRV is now 52,000 kMS old with 4 tyres up for replacement. Now I want to have a tyre that gives me smooth ride in city rather than off roading / Traction

Which Tyre is recommended (Brand / Model) ?

Sudev and Samurai what would you recommend ? Will expected life of soft tyres (that gives smooth ride) is shorter than off roading tyres ?

Are you saying your OE tyres lasted 52,000Kms? Mine lasted only 17,000kms, that's the kind of roads I have.

If you want the OE size (225/70R16), then MICHELIN Latitude Tour HP is an option. If you want to upgrade (235/70R16), then you can consider Michelin LTX A/T2, it is technically all-terrain, but more road oriented. If you upgrade, you will have to replace the spare tyre too, can't have smaller tyre in a full time 4WD vehicle. If you upgrade, you can't use the spare tyre cover either.

Yokohama Geolandar HT-S is another good choice, only available in 235 size.

Haven't heard good things about Wrangler or Dueler.

This is first replacement after 52,000 kms. Most of within NCR or long distance trip to Mountains / Jaipur (barring a couple of off roading trips under guidance of Sudev)

What are benefits of upgrade (from 225 to 235 ?).

It seems that Yokohoma Geo does not have tyre in 225 size .
