Ford replaced the car on 7th aug.2008. till date there is no "END' this thread, i think ford requested MM & GTO not to continue their bad story!

Nope, I don't accept such requests and have not been in touch with Ford WRT monkey's car. Monkey is the best person to put his version of the story up. Please drop him a PM request.

Okay, since Monkey hasn't updated yet, I'll offer a quick synopsis (to the best of my knowledge + memory):

1. Car gives frequented problems
2. Sent to service station.
3. Car gives problems again.
4. Sent to service station.

Cycle continues for a while. Monkey and his Dad upset and angry, monkey starts following up with Ford. Believe me, he can really get aggressive. Matter taken to higher levels and negotiation for some couple of weeks. End of the day, they accept Monkeys request and replace his car. I do remember him talking about a consumer court lawyer, though am not sure if he was ever roped in (for negotiations, notices etc.).

Hey, M M, please share the closing chapter of the deal with ford guys. coz this thread sounds like a movie where we see the Male lead growing up, Then he becoming a gunda and at the end becoming nice and going home with a beautiful girl. As if missing the climax, or someone went to pee that long.

So please share the climax, and settle the inquisitiveness. Or indicate that ford has got you to sign something that says not to discuss this issue anymore, anywhere.

His last post was on 11th August 2008, promising that he will give the details next day i.e 12th August 2008. Exactly 5 months since then, but no news from MM?
Is he not in town?

It's responsible to replace the car by Ford India and admitting you got a "lemon". We can't go wrong with FORD here. They have done their best. But, yes, these decisions do take time at a corporate level, but iit's nice your issue was resolved swiftly.
