And note that I too can help you buy a LOCAL Brand (new) 173cc TATA Safari Compressor for Rs. 9000
Thats comforting Jennifer. So, is it true that all the parts listed above can be bought for a much cheaper price ?

If so, where do we get all these parts ?

Yes, its actually possible to buy almost all parts for a cheaper price except TELCO products.

Here is the actual OEM Manufacturer's list where from you can buy them directly. if you want to know the TATA PART Number (TATA SAFARI TCIC Only), please reply here, I will help you(!!!)

TATA SAFARI TCIC PARTS SUPPLIERS:

Brake Booster, Reservoir & TMC: Brakes India

Lighting Systems: Lumax Industries

Motorized Side Mirrors: enginetech

A/C System: Subros

Transducers, Gauges & cables: Pricol

Alternator & Starter Motor: Lucas

Fuel System: Bosch

Fuel Injection: Mico / Lucas

Shock Absorber: Cabriel

Power Window: CAMCO

Steering System: Rane/ZF & Hydraulics

TieRods: TalBros

Locking System: Minda

Belt Systems: Gates

Switches: Shutham

Stickers: Shivani

AXLE System: Dana Spicer

Head Lamp Wash: Hella

Note: 99% of the OEM products are available at around 50% price than TATA Authorized service stations.

For example TATA SAFARI Brake Booster cost you Rs. 11,500 in CONCORDE. But its Rs. 6,500 in TVS(Same OEM) & the MRP is Rs. 8000 in Brakes India, Chennai.

A/C Evaporator Cooling Coil cost you Rs. 4200 (SUBROS) in CONCORDE, But Rs. 2450 in Cool Sales, Chennai (Same SUBROS)

Thanks Jennifer for the information. Do all spare shops sell these or are there any specific ones that we need to look out for ?

You can buy the spares in TATA Authorized Spare Shops in MRP. But the TASC/Service stations usually sell them as MRP + 12% Tax + ?% Profit over MRP.

If you directly buy it from the OEM Manufactures, you can buy it very less than MRP. But its very difficult to find the supplier/distributor in your city and you may need to bring the Part or you may need to tell the TATA Part Number. I can tell you the TATA PART Number of any TATA SAFARI Parts for you, if you need. I am very close to a Mechanic who worked with Concorde for 5 years, so just send me the Part details. I will help you the Part Number & OEM Manufacture. But you have to find the distributor in your city.

Hi Jennifer, This one is a really informative thread. Thanks for all the information.

I rear bumper got damaged (broken) during an acccident. I'm still driving with it as it has not come out completely, but will need to be replaced soon.

Any idea how much will it cost for 2.2 VTT rear bumper including all the inside clips? The show room guy told 10K, I'm planning to buy it from outside, may be from Coimbatore or so.

I am not sure about the DICOR as I have only a TCIC Safari. And the REAR Bumper for a TCIC Safari (Part No: 2699 8860 01 20) cost you Rs. 3420 only.

Is 10,000 for the complete Rear bumper assembly or only for the bumper skin(broken part)

I don't know about DICOR. But for TCIC there are 2 types of Co-Driver mirrors:

1. Motorised With Heater(For EX) - Part No: 2699 8110 01 73
2. Non motorised withour heater(For LX) - - Part No: 2699 8110 01 33

and it cost you around 2600(For EX) manufactured by EngineTech. But I heard a DICOR mirror cost you around 3600
