Stay with white. It will look very classy with the dark interiors. Just that the stock alloys won't complement the color choice. That was my reason for ditching the white. I will take delivery of my baby on Wednesday, i.e. Hip-hop black MJD Emotion pack.

Well it's silver finally; saw both cars back to back and just preferred the minimal grey.

My apologies, Rama motors, okhla.
They just called to tell me it'll be atleast 10-15 days waiting.
I have questions till then.
- What is the recommended procedure for running in as the punto comes with synthetic oil ?
- I was thinking of getting it flushed and refilled at 3k, does that sound sensible ?
- Below 2000 rpm or 2500 ?
-Are we supposed to idle turbo engines, i've never owned a diesel before, anything else I should know ?
Please do help. Thanks.

Whatever you do - use the engine till 2400 RPm, then upshift. don't lug too much either.

Vary the RPMs - I'd suggest to do some 200-300km the first day itself, like I did.

19000km later I'm getting 19.2kpl avg with 100% AC

PS: AVOID congested places like the PLAGUE till you've done the first 100-200km.

Thankyou phamilyman. I will stick to your advice. Anything else I need to know about synthetic oil and diesel engines;

@ramsagar- Thankyou. No, nothing planned yet. After driving around for a month I will decide on upgrading the audio system and petes maybe.

Thanks anshuman. I've switched from white to minimal grey. Another 10 days atleast. I'm going to pulling my hair out.
Have planned a little trip to jaipur a few days after we get the car; the long drive across variable rpm's should contribute to a good running in.

I think you should have tried abs motors gurgaon, the car i booked was in transit but they delivered another one booked by some other customer but his delivery was delayed due to issues in financing so they delivered me the car,i took ready delivery without any wait.

Minimal grey looks good, one of our Bhpian had booked the same.
i20 CRDI is no way under reach, that would be way-out of our budget.hope the same things repeats similar to GetZ CRDI.

This car in white looks like a scared cat. Severely under tyred too like some others sait. It did not look bad in other colors. Wonder why. Perhaps its the angle or something.

@anshuman- Probably should have but doesn't make sense buying from gurgaon. I'd still have to get servicing from rama only. Let's see how long it takes.

@princepervez- Colors like white imo are classy and need to be complemented well. It dosn't look as bad in flesh though.

@ms001- I have one more picture, shall upload by night. Last time I tried it kept failing.

@Ramsagar- You're probably right, anyway by the time I get my punto the i20 should have released, if it's a very very very good package then maybe.... just maybe though I doubt such a thing will happen.
