Total bill does not add up to the amount mentioned. Are taxes etc... omitted? Also, what exactly is the Exchange filter? And what all do they do in the Suspension overhall?

Since the list mentions ,Front Struts ,I think they have replaced the strut kit rubber bushes . I think the rates mentioned here are normal rates .

Suspension OH means removing the front suspension and checking for any damage .700 INR isnt a big deal .

But when you have already spent close to 12.5K INR,what made you decide against getting the cleaning the Intercooler. I think you should have done it .

Dunno why do they need to charge for key programming when you are ordering for new keys !

But distilled water (if its really distilled water ) isnt a rip off .

Ok -- I made a small mistake, the suspension O/H is same as Strut O/H !! And that's 920/- & not additional 700/-! Off-late my driving has been thru treacherous roads and I used to hear metal clinging sound when I go thru pot holes & some vibrations from steering wheel too.

AVG motors make money on the labour charges. I was shocked to see the charge differences from Surakshaa, Bangalore.

For rates comparison,

I guess I have not added taxes [another ~1300/- at it] in this. I asked them to check the suspension for damages & replace any worn out parts [rubber].

They told me 750/- as labour for intercooler cleaning. I felt it was on the higher side and when I checked the previous bill from Surakshaa, it proved correct. Surakshaa charges just 250/- for intercooler cleaning. I plan to take my car to a local MA$$ for this job. The reasons they give for such charges defies logic at times.

When you order new key [can be ordered only as a pair], the factory sends just keys and later the A$$ incorporates the immobilizer code into this. They call it as "registering" the keys.

Any idea what exactly is this Exchange filter???
I know of the Oil filter, fuel filter, air filter, but first time I'm hearing of the Exchange Filter. What does it do? And is this only in the Swift ?

No, new keys were given and programmed with immobilizer. They said changing the locks will be quite expensive & in the range of 6K if I remember correctly.

Have you tried changing remote batteries at one of the battery stores. costs 25 Rs. and may solve your problem.

Why intercooler was not cleaned ? AFAIK, good intercooler cleaning would cost in the range of 800/- unless they do a superficial cleaning without removing it.
