Oh okay. I got 15kmpl with 100% city and around 18.5kmpl for 70%highway &30%city. So I think it should be almost simillar. Would like to testdrive Figo once. Let me try whether I get a chance.
Thanks,

Glad to hear. I feel the painting charges are too high.

Kishore, what parts were painted, other than the bumper? Was the tailgate also painted? The painting charges are certainly on the higher side, which could also be possibly since you were claiming insurance.

All this because of a bumper hit?

I'm confused - care to explain?

Yes, the tailgate had to be dented and painted and of course the new rear bumper. I too feel they charged more since I was claiming insurance.

Yes, the bumper had to be replaced, the tailgate dented and painted. The rear bumper support assembly had taken a hit too, so it needed to be heated and bought back to shape. I had misread the bill, 950 bucks was for tailgate repair and not for tail lamp assembly.

Good to know you got your panther back.
Labour charges seem way too much for such a small car like the figo!
How would you rate the work carried out? Can you make out that it was painted or repaired?

Nope, looks as good as new. However, there are some marks (pinkish) on my rear door handles. I think it is the primer (I am a noob in this area), showed it to the SA and he said they will go away. Will be going for the first service next week, will ask them to clean it if it does not.

I have a garage next door and I know how much it costs to rectify dents and repaint.

Attached two snaps shows damage/after repainting with 2K paint (final layer).
Cost INR 900 ALL INCLUSIVE.

This is one of the reasons I did not buy the Polo (apart from the backseat issue). Accidental Repairs! plus that gleaming paint will not be easily available in the retail market.

NOw that shows that FORD has tried to make it a low ownership cost car. But the dealers have not realised what that really means!!!. All new parts including bumper costs just around Rs.1500, And the final bil is over Rs13,000!!!

And why have they charged over Rs.200 for that TDCi badge? Was it damaged? Even if they changed it. I think the Duratorque badge costs just around Rs.120. WIll the TDCi cost that much!!!

I really think this has to be send to Ford. They need to get some feedback on the low cost of maintenance.

The SA mentioned that the TDCi badge comes with one time adhesive and had to be removed to paint the tailgate.

Take a look at the bill again. 950 bucks is for repairing the dicky (boot) assembly.

For the tail lamp assembly, the labor charge is 40 bucks!
