@ witwiky, sorry to hear about your accident buddy. Lucky that there was not too much damage to the fender/bumpers. The day I had got my car back (after the accident repair), a bike tried to overtake me from the wrong side and left a scratch on the bumper. I was so mad, but what to do, you really can't avoid such mishaps with so many morons around.

Thats a real bad one. Hope they get things back to perfect.

I've been saying this from the first week of driving this car. The car's looks give others so much confidence in driving directly towards us. Especially with the TDCi engine under the hood its becomes even more dangerous as others wont expect such a car to be so agile and fast.

FE Update after 1st Service

Did 2 tankful's after the first service, got 16.5 KMPL for the 1st and got 17.2 KMPL for the 2nd one today. Completely City (Navi Mumbai) driving with 100% AC on.

It's been raining pretty heavily here and I have noticed 2 sounds that have started coming from the back of the car. Will be visiting the service center to get them checked tomm.

What type of sounds?

If there is a squeak from rear inside cabin, here is the solution. Most of us face this problem.

Thanks Witwiky. I am aware of the solution that Gemi had posted, but these sounds are not squeaks. Both are from the rear, one from the left rear where I sometimes get a tapping kind of sound. I checked whether it was the rear seat belt or anything loose in boot, but this seems to be coming from the enclosure covering the C-Pillar. The other sound is coming from the right side, some sort of metal vibration. Maybe the rear number plate but i have not got the time to remove it and check.

I had similar sounds on my Figo's rear rectified during the first service.

The one on the right is likely to what Gemi suggested.

The one on the left was something do with the way quarter glass sits in the panel.

It is two days after service. Now I think I do hear a softer version of the left side sound occassionally.

Fitting Fog lamp costs so much?

Is there anything available other auto shops?
Fixing this from non ford service station will void warranty?

Yes, the price listed on the Ford Figo accessories site is 4K. There will be cheaper options available in the local shops, but there is always a risk that it will void warranty.

Fog lamps can be fixed outside at under 2K. But you risk voiding warranty.

Enquired at Lathangi, Bghatta road when I have given the car for 1st Service.
They quoted 4.8K, temporarily dropped the idea of fixing a fog lamp :(

I also feel 4.8k is on the higher side where as outside it is cheap. Still wonder Ford has not done anything on spare & accessorie prices.

24K update

Well, yes it's been a longtime and I wanted to update my ownership experience after the 3rd service. However, just could not find the time.

Panther has completed 24K km now and I am very happy with the way it has been performing except for a few niggles that most other owners has also been reporting like
- Rattling from the dashboard (area above the glove box). This started after the 3rd service, will get it checked in 4th service
- Stalling when speed decreases drastically fast. This happens once in a week or so and always in the evening when I leave from work. Had asked the SA to check during 3rd service but they said scan did not give any hint of it. Living with this problem till Ford comes up with a solution. Thankfully I am usually slowing down for a speed bump and start the car asap.
- My building is currently in renovation and hence there are small spots of white paint all over the car. Looks horrible right now, but am waiting for the work to get completed so that I can do a full detailing job.
- had a small dent on the rear right door, will get this sorted during 4th service.

On it's birthday, got her some new interiors and shifted to Mobil1. The performance has been pretty good and the initial sounds from the suspension and brakes have also reduced after the 3rd service. FE hovers around 16-17 KMPL.

Will post the pics of the interiors later.

Cheers!!!

Re: PaNtHeR - My Ford Figo TDCi EXi -24K update

Here are some pics of the new interiors. Not all would like to color combo I have chosen, but I needed the Orange to brighten up the interiors. Looks a bit bright in the pics but is pretty understated in reality. I got the interiors done from Orchis Mumbai. Costed me 11k with the door trims, leather steering (with orange threading) and leather gear knob (with orange threading).

That's a pretty satisfactory Ownership review expected from a Figo owner.
I also liked the Black-Orange upholstery of your Figo. The Good looking steering wheel leather wrapping seems to be very Comfortable.
