Love her for what she is. Old faithful.
Congrats on cross this milestone!

My Safari is also past this age. With regular service and care, touch wood, it has been going strong. Not being in the county had put a damper in the driving now.

Recently replaced a radiator hose, which got brittle / cracked due to age. Apart from that, nothing much. I foresee the shocks needing a replacement sometime soon.

Damn! Kudos to you guys for retaining your respective Safari's I parted with mine back in 2017, after a wonderful 8 yr/70k km stint. Wish you many more happy years of ownership.

This thread gave me very fond memories of my EX and one GX that I had once owned and sold. I still turn back when I have the mighty Safari pass by. It still attracts attention.

I’m sure you folks have the same feelings too.

Wanted to share this recent photo of my beloved Tata Safari, when respected TATA is in all our minds and thoughts.

In 2023 one of the pistons blew and got engine work done by a local mechanic who did a great job. In September this year got the suspension bushes replaced. Odo is clocking around 170K.
Added couple of thousand kms last month.

Re: A new beginning - Tata Safari 2.2 VTT DICOR EX QUARTZ BLACK

Hello Friends,
I too own a 2010 Safari Dicor EX and have been pretty happy with it so far. But off late I have started having some peculiar issues with my car for which I seek and request expert advice from this forum - if you all could share -
1. There is a peculiar supressed 'Tak-Tak' sound in one of the valves (injectors) it seems and a corresponding low load bearing tantrum some times - not always. Some say I should get only one valve repaired; some say get only one replaced with new; some say I should get all 4 replaced as changing only one doesnt help.
2. The Engine Checklight on the dashboard screen often comes on and goes away when I press the car key On & Off a couple of times. 8 out of 10 times it is OK after presssing the key buttons, but sometimes the engine performance drops when the light comes on.
3. The car seems to sway and jump frivolously a bit (though I got the suspension renewed 4 years ago).
May I know if this is natural with the Safari or mine has a peculiar issue?
Also, could someone refer an expert Safari mechanic in Mumbai ?
Thanks
Kano
