The 2.0 TFSi is detuned to 179 bhp in India according to the Audi India website. If its priced well, it'd be a very nice car. Unlike its rivals though its a FWD :(.

In the ~30 lak segment, the petrols hardly do well. MB and BMW sell 1 or less petrol car for every 5 diesel C or 3 sold. Add to it, the Audi was never a front line runner. If the petrol A4 is not substantially cheaper (+ more features) than the rival 3 or C, it still wouldn't sell.

Any reason why BMW, MB and Audi don't put up the car prices on the website. Their sites suck badly.

Dipen, Contrary to this, i was shown their sales report for 08 by navnit motors, where Diesel to Petrol car ratio was 55:45. didnt look like a tempered report, seemed genuine though. It seemed unbelievable to me as well that time.

Couldnt agree more on the state of their websites. Suck big time.

Surprising to me as well. It would be great if someone can get the MB figures as well.

Yes as unbelievable as it may seem, it is true. The diesels out sell the Petrols and it is the prefered engine. MB also has similar figures.
