The DC Phanthom Royale: Remove all the Rolls-Royce badging and that grille, and it might not look so horrid after-all.

This car has been discussed a long while back on these forums. It belongs to someone I know, and four and a half years back, he himself told me of his plans to either get a customised Phantom SUV, or a Rolls Royce Coupe. I presented the gentlemen with some design ideas which he promised to show DC. He was initially more keen on an SUV, but seeing my SUV designs, he realised that a Phantom and SUV just do not blend and that a coupe seems far more striking. My coupe designs, I'm fortunate to say, looked a great deal better than this monstrosity. Some similarities exist, especially in the front due to the Rolls Royce logo (although mine never appeared quite so gawdy), but otherwise I wholeheartedly give the credit to DC for his amazing lines (right). This man owns several exotics, including a lovely black Countach and a silver Phantom. His wife's nephew is married to Mr. Lakshmi Mittal's daughter, and Mr Mittal and himself are very closely tied. He has an amazing mansion just outside London, where his entire collection lies housed. Gorgeous £9m property.

The 'CEXI' numberplate would probably cost £40-60k.

Talk about ruining an already lovely car..

I heard about this person in Australia who had a phantom and used it to transport his poultry material or something at his farm.. The thing was in bad shape and apparently the company bought it back from him saying he does not deserve to own a Rolls Royce ever again..

The M1000 is neatly done, but doesn't look nice.

Quite right, some people have a lot of money and they are free to do whatever with it.

But does that make a wierd car beautiful?

The right side pair smokes.

The left side pair has no carbon buildup at the tips.
