Trust me, this can save a fortune. Once on a highway, I was travelling at 100 and a dog suddenly crossed the road in front of the car. By the time i could brake, car had already hit the dog. Dog was lucky to be alive. Damages to the car - broken front bumper, radiator, condensor, radiator fan to name a few. And worse than this, the car had to be towed 200 kms to Bangalore.
Now, I am contemplating having this on my car

at 100kmph, the bullbars will cause more damage to the car than without. with this, you'll end up with damage to your hood too. in city driving, these are dangerous to the pedestrian in the event of a collision.

I had a similar (almost same - including damages mentioned) on my i20. After paying the bills, I really wanted to have a bull bar to avoid these kind of damages, but after reading the accident stories, (airbags not deploying etc.) I just dropped that idea.

Weird: Indigo with bull bars in front as well as rear. The driver was zooming in and out of traffic like he was on fire.

Wacky: W-E-L-C-O-M-E written on the bull bars.

Are you serious?

FYI, bull bars are bolted directly onto the chassis of your car, so at 100 kmph the damage to chassis is going to be a major one. IMO, damage to radiator etc is still repairable, but i for one won't be using a car that has a major chassis damage.

If you go through the threads, there is a case in which a fortuner's air bags did not deploy due to the placement of bull bars.

Just 4 pages back, i have written how i was involved in an accident, and it sends shivers across my spine even imagining the fact that what would have happened if my car had bull bars.

These bull bars are not only a threat to the pedestrians but also to the car and its occupants.

MODS: Sorry for back to back posts, wanted to separate the two topics.

I didnt even think in this aspect. I was under the assumption that having the bull bars will atleast reduce the impact from coming to the cabin area. My bad!
And yeah, as you mentioned since its bolted directly to the chassis, the probability of chassis being damaged will be high. Got it

Well, one of my relatives had the same kind of bull bar fixed to the front of Ritz. The car while negotiating a deep pothole was hit on the connecting bars of the bull bar(under surface).End result was a broken bumper due to the impact of the bull bar on the underside of the bumper.

HOLY COW.
frankly speaking, this "So" called swift with its "After Effects" will create so much of glare that you cannot drive it at night.

What a waste of money.

Please someone tell DC to take early retirement rather coming up with his weird creativity and straining us. He is setting up umpteen eye soaring examples these days. This so called SUV seems to taking all the wind inside through the front grille.

Any clue as to where the headlights are taken from? That part looks promising.

It is also surprising that no one has tried getting Toyota Sienna (earlier US version) tail cluster and modify the India Innova to similar lines. Sienna looks beautiful by our Innova standards.
