can the SX4 take 225 wide tyres with 8 inch rim?

can the SX4 take in 225 wide tyres and 8 inch wide rims without any problem? Will it scrape the wheel wells when turning? What about effect on handling, suspension etc? I am planning for upgrading to 18 inchers.

Lenso Samurai superlight alloys

I am planning to get a set of 4 lenso samurai 18 inch alloys for my SX4. I have chosen Samurai series as they are pretty light and wouldn't add to the unsprung weight which is a huge problem while upgrading to bigger alloys with underpowered engines resulting in loss of power and having a detrimental impact on suspension.

While there are a few models to choose from like SC-01, SC-02 and SC-03 series, I have been quoted a price of 65000Rs for a set of 4 alloys by my dealer here in Andhra Pradesh. What is shocking is that through some forums I came to know that in Malaysia these alloys cost only 31000Rs and in UK 38000Rs. Isn't this ridiculous? Am I being ripped off here? Are the prices any better in bigger cities like Bangalore, Mumbai etc or are we Indians as usual paying too much tax to our government?

Is he joking or what? For that much you can stretch a bit and get OZ wheels. You can get it cheaper in the bigger cities, way cheaper

Do increasing the tyre size reduce the brake bite for a car ??? This is a question from a novice :( Please don't treat it badly.
