Pioneer is not compatible with other brands. It goes for all brands. eg: JVC works for JVC only.

Can get steering remotes in any car accessory shop selling those brands.

I picked up one(Pioneer) today for Rs 1050. But i have a small problem mounting it on my swift. I have a leather steering cover due to which i have to mount it on the top of the sterring rather then below the spoke.

People with Pio's in thier swift. Can you please post the pics how you guys have mounted the remote.

Update(Added later): Okey the guy who fitted the thingy on my steering was a mofo who did an equally bad job on the steering. My carpenter did a better job of it in my workshop and fitted it almost perfectly

This thread seems to have gone totally OT with everyone discussing remotes. What about the steering wheel controls?

From where did you buy it in Noida? I have a Pioneer HU and would like to install this in my car.

Help Required with Pioneer CD-SR100 Steering Remote

Hi guys,

I have recently purchased the Pioneer CD-SR100 steering remote for my 2005 Maruti Suzuki Swift Vxi. My daily travel to work is a highway drive which requires me to constantly keep my eyes on the road, hence I purchased this steering remote to help me achieve this.

I received this item last evening and was all excited to install it today but was sort of confused and disappointed to see that this remote is made mainly for left hand drive vehicles. Which means that even if fitted on he steering a right had drive vehicle (right hand part of the steering), it will be placed away from the head unit which not help the remote work with its full potential. If fitted on the left hand side of the steering, the remote will have to be fitted upside down!

The instructions in the booklet show pics of an install on a left hand drive vehicle. I tried using this remote by placing it on the right hand side of the steering wheel and even though it worked, it didn't work to its full potential as at some point on turning the steering wheel, it didn't work at all. Even the fixing of remote housing on to the steering wheel is not as simple as it looks.

Is anyone using this remote? If so, I would require help with how to achieve the best range with this remote. Is there an option to fit this remote on the left hand side of the steering wheel?

I have installed the same on the right side of my steering wheel & it works fine most of the times.
