Too costly mate, try to look out for another source. I should not extend 1200-1300 at the max.

What happened to our plan?

Are we still on for it? lets talk to dealer for both nightbreaker and 50% and fix a date for the change.

I need to get it changed before my soon coming trip to kumaon.

Hey buddies

I have a question about headlamps. What is the difference between Osram +50% & Hyperwhite.

I am looking for WHITE LIGHT for my Safari 2.2VTT.Will this change of bulbs affect the warranty?

As long as you use 60/55W bulbs you won't void warranty

even at 100/90, you dont void warranty on safari. I had told Tata here about low visibility with 60/55 and they themselves got me philips H4 100/90 for FREE. They were very good and the cost on the pack was Rs 85 / - per piece . Both got fused after 14 months (one filament of the two in both bulbs). The vehicle ran almost 15K kms with them...not a bad deal at all

Their website claims that the nightbreakers are 10% more whiter than the standard bulbs.

OT: Does anybody have any reviews about the hyperwhite? How good are they?

Deepak, In my opinion if you are looking for white light with enhanced light, better go for HID kit. 90/100 white bulbs may give you white light but they give less illumination in comparison to yellow.

I had 90/100 on my indica with Narva yellow bulbs, when I switched to 90/100 white bulbs, I was very uncomfortable and changed them next day.

Hi Deepak, if you're looking for good illumination for the Safari, you can try Osram Silverstar +50% - Simply_Sunny & I have it on our Safaris.

I'm quite happy with these lights & find them a big improvement over the stock Phillips. If you're bent on white lights, dunno, no idea........

Yesterday I have upgraded my old 2002 Santro's eyes to Osram night breaker bulb. I was not getting good vision with my normal halogen 55/60w bulb, specially not able to see what is happening in the sides of the roads. Now the vision is improved a lot with this upgrade. Going for a full night drive this Saturday and will update the result.

For the 55/60w nightbreaker bulbs u don't requires to do any wiring modifications to the stock one. But I have done additional wiring for this installation as my stock setup is pretty old now. Don't want to take risks in the mid nights.

Here are the parts and specification used for this

Osram night breaker bulb : 64183 NBR, P43t H4 Halogen 12V 55/60w - Rs.1223/. + 12.5% tax
Roots Dual Headlamp relay : Product code : 953947. Rs.148/. + 12.5% tax
Roots Headlamp Wiring Harness : Product code: 953982 (130/90W). Rs.406/. + 12.5% tax

Shop detail : Car Automobiles Pvt. Ltd, JC Road, bangalore (this is actually in the back side lane of JC road, opp to corp parking bldg). Contact Person : Shyby, ph: 080 26706487 / 26702124.

The listed Osram dealer's quote was Rs.1563/. for a pair of nightbreaker bulb which I defered after got this deal.
