On my car, it produced power up until 5k rpm. It wasn't boosting as hard as at 3000, yes, but they weren't dead revs either. And I forgot to add, you definitely need a high-flowing aftermarket airfilter to make it rev that high.

Hhhmmm, I remember shifting at 4,300 on your car on track. Din't think it was making a lot of power beyond that. Got to check this out in person the next time we meet and compare it to Karthik's Peted swift.

v1p3r, why not a detailed ownership report ?
It seems lot of guys here are interested. (including me)

It would be better if it can be compared with a peted swift.

Its not to start a fight or something.
Just an unbiased report will help everyone.

Sorry mods for back-to-back posts, I can't seem to edit my posts after it appears here, please merge if needed.

I was looking online for reviews of the ECU, found that overdrive magazine tested some cars from race dynamics sometime back, surprising how no one mentioned it here, the link:

http://www.overdrive.in/story-articl...e-14592-0.html

No timings are given though, does anybody have a copy of this issue and see if any timings are present, they would test using some equipment so should be accurate unlike our stop watch.

@jmddis- the boost does not go on till the redline, as they said that the turbo is made such that it cannot produce power till the redline. However, the bottom end grunt has improved massively and it seems to pick up its skirts much sooner as in lag is reduced when flooring the throttle. I then asked about a bigger turbo and they promptly told me to be ready with even more lag than stock, so I promptly forgot about it. I'm zapped by the current performance gains and also installed a HKS filter as it has shown gains on the Elantra.

@cooldude1988765 - Yes it can easily be removed and popped into another diesel car with ease.
torque 350 what is the increase in power and torque after the addition of the box.? well atleast the claimed.?
i ve searched every where but i cant seem to find out the output of 1.3mjd engine after the addition on the box.The 0-100 kmph timing is cool but the final torque and power figures could be helpful to make a decision between this and petes!

btw are there any dealers in Chennai.? i cant seem to find any in the site.!

Sorry for the delay in response.

@amulu10 - Hi, Race Dynamics claim an increase of 25% in power and torque. As far as I know they have a dealer in Chennai, have no details though. Will try to look up and let you know.

@Proxima - Hi, the Rd ECU can be installed on CRDi cars. The Ford Icon TDCi, as far as I know is a CRDi so YES it is available.

No comparison till now between RD and Pete's ECU. How about a dyno test between two. Moreover no comments on costs.
Please update we are hooked.
