CNG in your lancer will eat boot space but that dicky is not small.
and ajay with shafique can definetley lay out the amps and subs and still leave room in the boot.
for your 100km a day commute i would think CNG too!

Car has come back from Pune with a thorough checkup, new footwear, seat covers etc.

The steering wobble issue was because of the stock rims. A couple were bent, apparently. After putting the alloys, there's no such issue.

Now, the headlights need to be changed since they have become foggy, and tin/ paint work remains. The original Lancer headlamps were quoted at ~ 18k a pair! Any alternatives?

The Pune Boyz sourced a Lancer SFX body kit but one of the pieces was not fitting perfectly snug. Anyone has a clue why this is so, or how it can be rectified? Due to this the kit was taken off.

Here are some pics.

Very nice. I like your dashboard. It is nice and solid. You must use some dashboard wax to shine it regularly if its parked in the open.

Nice car for nice people..So when is the ICEing part starting up. Will need extra heavy shockers if you plan to put two 40 kgs along with few batteries in the boot.

Did the car have some sort of front impact? The points where the headlights are mounted seem to be rusted.

One more thing Ajay, please please please get the chrome grill painted to body colour.

Which skirt was not fitting?

Uh, I'm not planning a pair of Plutoniums. It'll be something much milder.

Yeah, the car must have kissed some backsides. It also has scratches on the bumper corners.

Really? I thought the chrome looks nice. Can you perhaps link me to some other Lancer with body colored grills? I cannot imagine what it would look like.

One of the smallest pieces in the rear corners, I think. They would fit, but a gap would be left.

You can fit it once the painting starts? Those gaps can be taken care of.

hmm, the rear is a pretty easy fit. I usually have a problem with the gaps in front and side skirts.

Maybe the bumper is a bit out of shape.

Ajay the car looks nice. good that all the mechanicals are sorted out.

Good choice of alloys.
BTW you said that new seat covers have be put. however in the second last pics where both front and back covers are visible, it looks like only the rear seat covers are new. teh new old appear to be stock. (notice the dust at the bottom of the headrest )

How much did the seat covers cost. I too would like to get a nice art leather black seat covers put to my car as well. now have fabric seats.

Ajay, you can take a look at my Lancer too, to see what a (black) body coloured grille will look like.
Don't buy the headlamps from HM - they will rip you off. I sourced new original replacement headlamps for my car from outside @3000 a pair. That's the kind of margin these buggers have! OE Lancer headlamps are made by ES Depo. Suggest you look around a bit... you'll surely be able to get these in Mumbai.

The car looks nice and clean. Alloys and rubber looking great. Congrats!
