Sirji, If that was the case most of the high end car manufacturers are wasting money in R&D of lights and even by adding it to the cars.

What you see are Local HIDS being used in reflectors with absurd kelvin's

Use a good projector with 4300k hid, You wont complain . Old school is cool but that will not mean new technology is crap.

p-tronic Tuning Box

Why not consider P-tronic.

P-Tronic additional box-units :: power kit ::engine chips :: diesel chips :: power box-units :: diesel tuning :: power box-unit :: chiptuning :: increase engine power :: diesel booster :: TDI tuning :: additional box-unit (NEW)

They are giving a huge discount too.
(-21% belgian VAT) + (-15 % when on-line ordering) + free delivery to INDIA.

Installation is also quite easy

Your info about the P-tronic box is correct, but their prices even after discounts still workout to be slightly more expensive than what Petes offer here for the Swift at Rs.28,000/- complete with a 2 year warranty .

Its a thin SMD strip connected with the door switch. It only works when door is open

I am sure there is reason the biggies spend money on R&D, what I am saying here is that I have seen many a car with miserable "HID" setups. If you have a proper projector setup I am sure your light dissipation would be nice & proper.
I never said new technology is crap.

So from what you say my Grand Vitara which has OE projectors can be fitted with HID lamps ?? I would certainly like to take a look at your setup, might help me change my perception

Cheers

haha, Yes you can it will be better than OE halogen just choose 4300k if you want visibility , You can even change the projector for even enhanced lighting.
