Does the car ask you to fasten your seat belts and keep the seat in the upright position?....Before it takesoff?.

Congrats Jitu!!!!.

Hope you will enlighten all of us by detailing the mods.

Good work man, inline with what B16 and B18's in the high 10's around here are seeing.

What I would like to know however, is how the City chassis is holding up to this kind of power? I mean, obviously its not meant for serious road-racing work, but how do you manage to get a good launch? You should be well into the 10s at that power level with slicks, yeah?

Congrats Jitu,

Now the only issue should be transferring that power on the road.

Well done Jitu! Obviously this is a straight-line car (at those power levels)...lots of hard-work & heart-aches later you DO have a winner!

Some Pertinent Questions?

1. What kind of strengthning have you done to the driveline?
2. Same as above to the chassis?
3. How streetable is the machine in stop-go traffic...at what psi?
4. You have to be running 2 completely different levels of tune...as a daily driver....is this even possible...for long drives?
5. Suspension components upgrade?
6. What will you be doing to prevent wheel-hop?

From the looks of the dyno graph the car has 2 distinct driving characteristics.

Below 5500rpm it is a very linear curve with the car putting out around 150bhp. This would indicate that in the city the car should be just like a stock V-tec engine with a little more grunt.

After 5500rpm all hell breaks loose. I'm guessing the turbo kicks in around there and then the Vtec kicks in. Since the car redlines at 9300rpm, the real performance is from 5500rpm to 9300rpm. This shows on the graph with the sudden steep curve adding another 200bhp from 5500rpm to 8300rpm.

Thanks Vid6639 for the wonderful explanation. Wonder what has gone into the engine to make it develop so much power!

Whoa! That is one mean machine!

I'm no engine-vengine guy, but even I know that extracting 350whp from a daily-driven petrol car in India, and keeping things reliable is no mean task.

Congrats, Jitu-bhai! And yes, do keep going, don't stop

Viper
The car is setup with boost by gear & RPM, depending upon track & launch conditions, i can run boost as low as 4 psi for my first gear launch after xx rpm & can increase boost gradually as RPM increase, same goes for 2nd gear & hit full boost at 3rd.

Holy... Moly... Car was strapped on dyno, transferring power on tarmac will be tough one. need some serious driving skills for that.

It will be immaterial as i will be running different boost on different gear, though i can switch from low to high boost setting by flick of a switch.
