i think there are two types -- the ones brought in completely assembled -- thats the one edmund has and the other one is which i have - assembled in India -- guys from Sai motors(maruti dealer in pune) tell me that this is car is from 2nd lot... but i dont know exactly.
hey montoya - my dad got these from am importer in mumbai some 9 yrs back -- so now its impossible to get them from him - rather its impossible to find him in mumbai ... so please suggest some other place.

Hey Shikar, its a cool Jeep u own!!!
My BIL had bought a willy's jeep and we made the best use of it..
i remember i drove my friends Jeep an old one when he taken us for his farm in the outskirts of Bangalore...neat maneoverity(i spelled wrong) even on the rugged roads...both had 1969 Puegot diesel engine...

guess you are making the ultimate use of it....

Hey, welcome aboard Shrikar. Thats a fantastic looking CJ3B you have there. Can we have more details on the Isuzu Turbo diesel of yours? What 4x4 drivetrain are you using? How did you source the engine? Power Output? Pictures?

Eagerly awaiting

GTO

P.S. Go in for Michelin All - Terrains. Am using the same on my Jeep since 18 months and they absolutely rock.

it's a ISUZU TURBO diesel engine 2.0 litre....its big enough for the small jeep...as the engine is made for a much bigger SUV...the 4X4 gearbox is also an original isuzu that came with the engine...the differentials are the same..they just need a slight modification..nothing major..the driveshafts need to replaced with strengthened fatter ones rest all is the same(the engine came with a power steering pump and A/c compressor(both were not of much use!!)
