@RevTech: Leave the Duck Alone
Just Kidding... The duck was a free give-away from an insurance company. I like the little fella and it's been riding with me in all my cars. We all need our toys, right

that ES is nice..a bit boring in the driving dept...but its a nice luxury crusier. The only Lexus i'd consider at this point would be an IS.

Those models will be phased out..whatever new Lexus model comes out in the rest of the world, will be available in japan as well. Its been news for like a year now, the GS is already out as a lexus i think, followed by the new IS and then the rest of the model line (LS, RX, ES)

Damn sure you must have come to Eagles Landing a couple of times. Too bad I didn't know you then.

And I bet that, Just like me, you must have always found an excuse to hang around Maplelawn drive and the Troy Motor Mall.
I love that place. The dealers are now sick of me and give me the "Test drives everything and buys nothing" look

For the rest of you guys, the Troy Motor Mall is a place in my neighbourhood with almost all Car Dealerships from Saturn to Aston Martin. The only brands missing are BMW, Merc, Infiniti and Lexus.

That about sums it up pretty nicely... I was thinking on the same lines too initially.
But right now I could only afford to have one car and I didn't want a rear wheel drive to be my primary transport in Michigan (winters get ugly).
But personally, For a sports car I would get the '05 Stang GT. (for about 5K cheaper than the IS300 too).

So by next year, I'll either save enough to get a GT for a second car, OR I'll trade the ES in, spend some more and upgrade to a GS300 All-wheel Drive.
Did you check out the '05 GS? Man, its hot.

We used to hang out on the strip on Main Street,Royal Oak on Fri and Sat nights. Seemed like all the hottest rides in Detroit landed there to cruise around. Went to Maplelawn quite a few times as well. There's a new Ferrari/Maserati showroom on Orchard Lake Rd in W Bloomfield. Haven't had the ball$ to ask for a test drive there.......went to the Woodward Dream Curise only once.

Rest....please note these attractions for your next visit to Detroit.

The secret is snow tires. I have a RWD M3 with traction control but no ESP and have a separate set of narrower Pirellis for the winter. All season tires are just garbage. Just get a set of Bridgestone Blizzaks and throw a couple of sandbags in the trunk....you'll be passing 4WDs with no probs. With ESP its even more piece of mind, but annoying. A friend has a C230K and the ESP is flashing and clicking even if you push it slightly.....kinda annoying.
