The guy in Panchkula Haryana is quite reliable. However, if you are not comfortable sending your keys, you can buy the flippy key blank online (ebay.in) and get the key cut locally (there would be some amount of DIY involved - ease of doing this depends on the type of remote / sensor in your original key).

You can also go to any of the reputed key duplicators in Chennai and enquire from them if they have flip key blanks for your key.

Good Luck

Re: Flippy Keys

This is what I did Initially, I ordered the Key from Ebay.in (the same person in haryana has got his online store on ebay), once i got it delivered, i tried Installing it myself. I was able to remove the contents but the spring in the flip key just wouldnt go in , thats when i decided to send the entire to Haryana via courier after speaking to the Installer. I must say it was well done and the chrages for installing and key cutting was very nominal.

Re: Flippy Keys

]Not playing spoil sport but just a word of caution here. I ordered flip keys for my swift from e-bay (cant remember the seller) as well a couple of months back. the key fob had an autobot logo from transformers etched on it. Now lets face it, i simply loved the flip key as compared to the ready to break keyfob I got with the swift!! I transferred the chip etc myself but needed the expertise of a keymaker to grid the blank keyblade to fit my swift. For those that live in an around Whitefield, the key maker was 'Baba Keys' near the Hoodi junction near ITPL. To my surprise the guy was even selling flip keys himself (So much for ordering via e-bay!). He charged me a 100 bucks for the replicating my key on to the blank. . Fast fwd Mar 2014, on my way to work, turned the key in and heard a 'click'! upon inspection, found nothing cracked or broken. The joy was short lived. It turns out that the blade had in fact broken at the base. Found it in my pocket when I was looking for a lighter!! As always, had a friend get my spare key from home so that I could drive out of work. My advise, get the flip key, flaunt it, but be sure to carry a spare key, lest you find yourself stranded in a place too far from home! my 2 cents

Bangalore guys, Beware of Gupta keys on the rajkumar road. He is a fraudster. I went to him after looking at the reference a couple of pages back with a blank flip key which I had purchased off eBay. He did some natak and then fished out his own flip key set telling that I have to buy it from him since the flip key I have brought has a very hard blade and his machine will go for a toss if he cuts my flip key blade. I knew he was dropping a load of bull. And he is asking 3300 for it. Whereas the flip key is available online at 1400 bucks.

Re: Flippy Keys

Finally assembled the new flip key myself for the i20.The old one had broken key pad and the key had chipped a bit at the base.So i was scared that it will break off anytime when i crank the car. I had got a blank one from eBay and got the key cut from a local key smith. He charged me 350 bucks to just cut the key :( . What i noticed is the flippy keys are now available with most of the local key makers and they sell it for exorbitant prices. And they get angry/reluctant to just cut the blank key that you get them. They feel we are taking away their huge profits.

Anyways, after getting the key cut, got home and removed the PCB and immobilizer chip from my old worn out flip key. Fitting them in the new flip key case required a bit of cutting/filing on the case to place in the immobilizer chip. Finally all done . Tested it and worked fine . Put a couple of drops of fevi quick to seal the key case after fitting everything back.

Total hole in the pocket - 1300 (Flip key) + 350(Key Cutting) = 1650
Total time - 3 hours ( For running around to get the key cut and assembly, test)

Guys its really simple. You need not buy the keys at ridiculous prices the local key smiths quote. They also just have blank flip keys. They also just cut the key and transfer the contents of the old flip key/normal remote key to the new flip key.Only if they are offering the total cost less than 2000 bucks you can go for it for the sheer peace of mind. Anyone with a decent enough common-sense can execute the assembly of the key. Besides you have videos on youtube for practically every car model out there. Just find a key smith who is willing to cut the key for you. Don't get ripped off by buying costly Flip keys from the local guys .

not sure about that
I'm aware that the Figo fob works on the Fiesta because I could unlock my fiesta with a reprogrammed Figo's key, I guess its safer to pick it up from the local smiths instead of ordering online.

And this guy can be trusted. I have bought my hyundai flippy key from him.

PS- There is one more model of flip key which has a blue ford logo for the same price and same seller. Go for that
There are 2 blue options:

and

http://www.ebay.in/itm/Stylish-Flip-...76e6b86&_uhb=1

Am guessing you mean the first one, even though it says its only for the eco-sport and the new fiesta. And would you be able to help me DIY

Re: Flippy Keys

Can anyone comment on the reliability of these keys in terms of long term usage? Is the steel (I assume that is the material) that comes as a dummy one along with the flippy set is strong enough like the OE one?

What was the cost involved as there are very few who can convert the Honda Keys in Flippy keys? I'm considering the same to be done for my civic.

However, this guy has all options and said that he could even replicate the transponder unit if required. So much for security!

Can the New Honda city 2014 key be converted to flippy key as well?
