Congratulations Hillram on the Navi. Have been reading through your Duke thread too.

Is yours the first Navi to be delivered in Hyderabad by any chance?

Side stand is still not announced, though there is a provision to fit on the LHS. Number plate is not an accessory at least as in Telangana we will be provided with High Security plates by RTO.

Visited Raam Honda today, to see the bike since it was launched today. Understand RTO issue has not yet been sorted out. However the are assuring me delivery on Saturday.

Side stand is anceessory, and is available along with graphic stickers, crash guard etc. Storage box not available as yet.

Re: Honda Navi: A scooter disguised as a bike

Can anyone post a picture, showing how tall this vehicle is? Probably a picture on a Splendor / Pulsar, another on an Activa, and one on Navi should be enough to give a very accurate comparison of how easy it will be to ride on our roads.

Re: Honda Navi: A scooter disguised as a bike

I'd be more happy if Honda doesn't sell the NUMBER PLATES as ACCESSORIES

With all the sales effort for the Navi that seems to be visible, it looks probable to negotiate for the Number Plates.

Congrats Hillram! Your growing two wheeler collection is enviable. I'm most impressed with the way Honda did the delivery. Such nice touches help our faith in the brand.

Took delivery of my Navi from Raam Honda yesterday. However they are unable to give the T/R number since according to them, RTA has still not approved the vehicle. Is this correct and do you also have the same issue?

@hillram - Congratulations for your Navi! Lovely touch by Honda for delivery. I bet you will have tough time with your kid trying to sneak out on this machine.

Re: Honda Navi: A scooter disguised as a bike

Four days ago I made the payment and took delivery of my Honda Navi. A day later when I asked the dealer about the T/R, I came to know that the vehicle has not yet been approved by Telangana RTA. However Honda dealers have been taking payment and delivering these vehicles in spite of knowing this. The vehicle cannot be registered (not even T/R) till approved.
Riding this vehicle on the roads is hence illegal!
Shocked to see Honda knowingly break the law. I brought this to the notice of their regional office in Bangalore. They offered some lame excuse about their certifying agency making a mistake.
To my question as to why the vehicles are being delivered to customers without type approval, they had no answer.

My Guess: "Monthly Sales Target"

Anyway, the authorities must be aware of the RTO situation and would definitely be working towards resolving it (least they want customers not buying the Navi due to the registration issue).

Should be ok in a few days hopefully.

Re: Honda Navi: A scooter disguised as a bike

What I did not appreciate is their being devious about it. I was informed only after delivery of the bike.
If I had known earlier, I would have waited till the issue was resolved.
I bought the Navi for my kids, who were all excited about it, but now they are completely disappointed about being unable to use the bike.

John..Im in the same boat.
Actually its not RTA approval Pending, because other states would have already registered NAVIs and if not, it would be a national problem.

Actual Problem with Telangana RTA :
I believe Honda NAVI's Engine number is one digit less and hence the Telangana RTA is unable to feed the data into their system as the software is rejecting this. Efforts are on to resolve this with the RTA.
Im in TS13 and you are in TS10(I guess) and our problem is same because of the software glitch.
Im taking a spin for my NAVI with in my colony limits which itself is attracting so many good comments and s..
However having said this, I sincerely hope Honda 2 Wheelers have not goofed up
