Just received information from dealer, the price of Xpulse 4v has gone up by 2k.
Revised ex-showroom price in Jaipur is 1,30,900 rupees.

Re: Hero XPulse 200 4V launched in India at Rs. 1.28 lakh

I don't understand why Hero can't offer a test ride in a city like Pune.
I've been trying for two months, but they always want me to use a speedo-disconnected motorcycle. That too for a 500m stretch of road near the showrooms. I even went to different dealers but faced the same issue.
This motorcycle has the potential to sell in huge numbers.

As mentioned before by me in my previous post, dealers don't keep a ready stock of this bike, some are not even aware of its existence.
Reason being, very few customers for this bike in comparison to the swarm of customers coming for Splendor, HF Deluxe etc.
They order this bike on booking only. Also this bike is almost double the cost of their other products and hence they don't want to block their money.
Hero wanted to gauge the response for 4V and IMO didn't expect such good response. Hence hero stopped booking for this bike and went for producing bike in good numbers which should lead to better availability in coming months.
The online booking for bike has opened today.

they seems to have redone entire gearbox. The top part shows the ratios for 4v the lower part is for 2v.
Does anyone have graphs of dyne runs for 4v so we can compare the actual difference observed at wheel.

Congratulations buddy. Looks gorgeous in the backdrop of rising sun. How much did it cost on-road and how long you had to wait to get it delivered after the initial booking?

Congratulations on the Xpulse ! Looks like you went out for a ride first before heading home/ getting a pooja done for the bike.

Happy riding !

From the pic, I notice a vast difference in the Alternator's output (4v - 120W, 2v - 252W). Can you please check the original material and reconfirm the specs, thanks.

Nope! That pic is taken in the parking lot of Hindalga Ganapati Temple (guess you know where it is) where I head straight from the showroom.

The good folks at the showroom agreed to give me an early morning delivery at 7am. All the formalities and the invoice was kept ready on 15th evening.

Cost Cutting maybe ?
They are from the respective owner’s manual. You can download them from hero website

Re: Hero XPulse 200 4V launched in India at Rs. 1.28 lakh

Week 1 Update (Though one week was complete on 23.02.2022).

Have not really been able to take the bike out much. As I write this, it has clocked only 93 kms.

- I think there is an issue with the FI unit on my bike. It doesn't wake up making a zzzzzzz sound, it makes a rather unpleasant chrrrkkk sound (like a loose electrical connection)

- At constant speeds (any speed, 30/35/45), there is inconsistent fueling (again may be due to the FI unit). It moves like it is running out of petrol.

- The engine does heat up a little, even on short errand trips. This is when I noticed that the brake pedal doesn't get a guard to avoid touching the engine.

The picture of the brake pedal

Protection on the pedal from touching the engine/silencer

I will get the above issues checked during the first service, if they persist.

Ah.. Here's the bike telling me the kms left to schedule the first service

Modifications done:

- Added a tank cover
- Added a seat cover

Here's the tank cover purchased from Amazon for Rs.475/-. Fits neatly.
Hero XPulse 200 4V launched in India at Rs. 1.28 lakh-uncle-tank-bag.jpg

The tank cover makes the bike look like an Uncle's bike. It is fine with me for the moment. Remember what Schumi (in Powerdrift) says?
Quote:
India has predominantly one bike garages.
The tank cover will protect the tank from scratches when I take few groceries/milk packets (will be soiled sometimes)/laundry. It's easy to remove when I need to place a magnetic tank bag.

I got this video in my YouTube recommendations. Definitely feels like an advertorial. I watched with so many expectations, came out dejected.

Can you get something like that welded to the inside top line of the brake pedal ? And if required, an extension piece to the right edge.

Looks like your Xpulse is on a different raga. That and the heating .. Suggest ride it a little more so the A.S.S cant say it needs to settle in.

How many days away is the first service due at ?

Re: Hero XPulse 200 4V launched in India at Rs. 1.28 lakh

Hi members,

Brother got this new steed to the stable today!

Quite a special one since it's his very first automobile and that too bought from his own money earned from his first job. As for me I'm quite baffled by the price though (paid 85k for my Karizma R in 2010, today they are selling a splendor for the same price).

Rode it for 10kms from showroom to home, super fun so far. Will update more after couple of hundred kilometres.

Cheers!
Gaurav
