How about the rear suspension?? The stock rear suspension is very street oriented.

Lot of things would need to be replaced than just the fork setup?? Brake liners?? The rake of Himalayan is similar to Suzuki v Strom 250?

Unless one transplants complete front end of the Himalayan onto the Strom like forks, triple clamps, disc, calipers, hub, brake lines and wheel otherwise it's not possible. For one, the disc and caliper are on opposite sides for both bikes. And second you need to check if the spacing between the forks will accommodate the hub. Lots of measuring, machining and head scratching will be mandatory. Mods like these are never plug and play.

Agree with your thoughts there. Back in 2010 when I wanted to fit the Kawasaki eliminator front disc brakes onto my Yamaha RD350 had to spend nearly a month to get the combination right. We had to shave the front hub to get it right. Lot of trials and errors before we got it right.

Possibly AOM have an in-house CAD designer who can design it better. Think Sebring might be able to Advice better since he has been there. Never been there even though I have heard of them.

This is just the fitment aspect. After this, check for excessive bounce needs to be done.

It's not just spring tension that counts, that is reducing the tension. Valving for dampening also has to be adjusted.

The V-Strom 650 (Official model number DL650) is supposed to be the best off the shelf dual sport that handles both off-road and street performance well, soaking up potholes with ease, while still not being wobbly when cornering.

Would like to differ here, whilst the fork is setup well for well paved roads, it tends to wallow quite a bit on poor roads. It needs slightly harder springs and improves the ride quality very much.

Few riders have also increased the payload by adding 8-10 mm length spacers to get the same results.

AOM has in house CAD designer so they will do it (If the complete Himalayan set up is inadequate) is the assurance

Once it is done we will know. We need to try first

Suzuki should give us Rally Edition like HERO. Was checking out a friends bike and it is really impressive

Re: A STROM is brewing | 'Yalla', my Suzuki V-Strom 250 SX ownership review

My bike received a few upgrades, in terms of a broader handlebar, 'solid' handguards (removed the plastic ones) and a perfectly cocooning crashguard with engine guard. This change gives my VSTROM some 'heft', looks bigger than what it is

I'm interested in the crash guard too, since I almost dropped Black Beauty this morning.

This is from Art Of Motorcycles AOM. He had two-three pieces for testing, and he gave me one

Thank you. I compared prices and found Hyperrider cheaper, 4950/-. Will install it myself tomorrow.

Planning to bump up the power on my bike, took it to ASURA. They're checking this week if POWERTRONICS can be installed. The BMC air filter was also running dry and got a shot of lubrication

Here you go! Sorry for the delay. I was down with flu.

I am realizing that Suzuki has done what TVS failed to do: provide the cost effective alternative to the BMW 310gs, a bike which can handle our potholed roads, as well as do some touring, both on road and a little off road.
