well, already got myself a "mock" K&N. Will do some experiments with it and then see whether I should get the original or not.

Right now, I have a problem with the filter not seating properly on the carb as there is not much of a lip on the inlet for the clamp to get a grip and it keeps sliding off.

Can you take some pics of his filter and how it is mounted? Also, what jet's is he using.

man, k&n rocks, i've tested my mileage it really increased.. it gave me 48km/l (normally i used to get only 40-42 for long drives)..It's a great experience revving the engine, reponse of the engine is very quick.. its worth the bucks...

hey kphilip,
thats great if u getting better FE,but as u have made ur carb settings to slightly rich,u are burning more fuel as compared to without k&n.

mabbe because of the relaince fuel which is 93 octane that u are getting better FE.
yeah it rokks.NC has got abt 14kpl recently in his ikon 1.6 using reliance 93 fuel

ya i too think so, they dint specify the petrol as 93 octane..it was just ordinary petrol with the same price..i'll check it soon and let u know..K&N was very good for long trip as the vibrations at high speed has considerably reduced. Before at 80 and 90km/hr speed the engine was a little noisy , now it feels so smooth..
