I don't think Yamaha is eager to give us a 250 yet. Their earlier products have gone for a thrashing, and now it is time to recover some lost moolah. They would like to rake in some profits by giving the 'Milage kitna hain' category people a 150cc bike. Then probably sometime later Yam might cater to 250cc hungry folks like all of us here.

Spotted a band of new motorbikes on NH-24

Dear all, whilst driving on NH-24 somewhere around Garmukteshwar (between Hapur & Gajraula) which is about 60kms from Delhi we spotted 6-8 motorbikes all being driven by people wearing uniform T-shirts. The motorbikes appeared powerful as they overtook my OHC 1.5 Exi very easily and sprinted off to disappearance in no time! The rear tyre looked quite fat. My co-driver has clicked 3 pics of the bikes but as am posting this from office where USB devices are not enabled I can't upload the pics now :(

And oh, i missed one vital detail - the registration number plates of all the bikes had UP 16 (NOIDA/Greater NOIDA). Are they from Yamaha stable? Please pardon my ignorance

New Bikes

UP16... I would put my money on Honda or HH cooking up something.
If it is HH, then probably a new stickered version of CBZ/Hunk.
If it is Honda, hhmm I am excited

Is it the new Yamaha FZ with fairing? This has been spotted before and is being discussed here.

Even before the FZ-16 was launched, they had the same registration in the scoop pictures posted.

up 16 registration means Yamaha (greater noida).
They usually test their bikes with yellow no. Plates with red colored numerals.

Cheers
