But I guess something slipped out of the sales guys mouth - Bookings may start just before the Auto expo! and I quickly caught on to that saying. Jan 3rd then? Went back to his evasive self - don't know sir. we will call you sir, we will send sms sir.
Friend,

I was talking about the huge sticker with the KTM on it, Not the bike itself. The SA mentioned that no intimation yet on when the bookings would start. Personally, it should start after the official announcement just like the Ninja 650.

Cheers

Thanks for the clarification sir. Some PBK outlet somewhere has given out the date of launch (or opening bookings) as Jan 3 2012

Thats a typo which should read as KTM but instead is showing NINJA which leads to the KTM page.

A reliable source mentioned to me that the 690 will be here as well for a mouthwatering price. When is not exactly known but it may be here in a year or two. First the 200 and then the 350. The 690 and the 350 may or may not be launched together.

Re: Scoop: KTM Duke 200 caught testing in India!

Did spot the duke being test just outside Pune just before the expressway. Was on a call and couldnt get a picture. The generally reluctant test bike riders who avaoid any attention they may get, this one was a little different. I was admiring his and he, mine. Just after that i had to cut for the expressway.

I'm eagerly waiting for this to hit the showrooms. Planning on replacing my almost 11 year old Suzuki Fiero. Office commutes are getting VERY boring.

What were you driving/riding? I presume it was your newly acquired green ninja.

Re: Scoop: KTM Duke 200 caught testing in India!

Well i was too eager to upgrade myself and the duke looked like a decent option. Then finally settled for a Ninja. But the other day i was in a car (rememeber i had to cut towards the e way).

The Suzuki Fiero is a sweet motor bike mate.

Bajaj postpones KTM 200 launch to give more importance to the tin-can RE60.

and here potential buyers have been screaming themselves hoarse on the bookings (supposed to've been today 3rd jan - now moved (tentatively) to 24th Jan another Tuesday).

They seem to be doing everything to lose out on the KTM fan base? or something else brewing!

I think I will book the 4w-autorickshaw instead
