Hi BHPians, My baby is 13 days old and have crossed 750 kms in odo. I face some issue in front left suspension. Whenever I cross a speed breaker @ 20 kmph with pre-braking (applying brakes and releasing it before my front wheel hits speed breaker) I see my front left Tyre falls rough on to ground as if there is no suspension at all wherein my front right is smooth. But when I cross @ less than 20kmph I feel it's fine. Any suggestions.? It makes me worried. |

Take it back to the showroom and have it checked, there must be something wrong, it's usually something simple like tightening of a nut or fixing a forgotten part. A stitch in time saves nine |

Nothing to worry about at all. It is normal and it's due to the stiffer suspension setup. Basically you hear it only on the left because your weight loads the suspension on the right and it doesn't happen. The sound will disappear if you have a passenger sitting next to you. Only solution is to drive a little slower over sharp bumps. The sound is of the wheels jumping suddenly. The issue is also seen in the Ford Figo and the reason is the stiff setup and higher rebound. That's the sacrifice for the handling. If you take it to the workshop they will meddle with someone that doesn't need meddling. |

Emulate the scenario with your servive manager and if it not possible to do that install the comfort buffer/donut. |

If you carefully see GTOs fantastic review it has all details. The buffers/donuts can be installed in 3 positions in the coil springs 1.At the lowest point as I did on my ecosport:comes into play when suspension bottoms out (helps in prevention of thud sound in my ecosport) 2.In the middle:comes into play during halftime (so will help stiffen the suspension a bit) 3.At the top of coil spring:always in action (nicely stiffens the suspension and solves the rear soft suspension problem in my civic) I am attaching the picture of my ecosports buffer, my civic has it on top so one cannot see it Hope it helps |
