To be fair, its always recommended that all accessories be removed from the car before giving it for service, as the service center cannot be held responsible
Having said that, I recall floor mats being a specific entry on the job sheet, and is checked when the car is taken in for service, so that going missing is a big issue. I have experienced far worse - wheelcaps, mechanical components etc going missing, the worst being my spare wheel spanner which went missing, and i found out only after i got a flat, and being stranded after their support was not reachable.
I was stuck on the road for hours until a cab passing by stopped for us after us hailing them down for help!

I don't remember if the entry was done on the job card. They did not deny that there was the floor mat. They just couldn't find it. OK, it may not be a major grouse, but it certainly is an irritant. What is more irritating is that the service manager did not deliver what he promised.
Thanks for letting us know of your experience. I shall definitely make it a point to get everything recorded on the job card in future.

As luck would have it, my brother who works with Pioneer - Glasgow, gifted me a 2018 Active-Sub, fresh off their development line. I was more than happy to be his guinea pig.
This can be mounted vertically in the boot or horizontally under the seat. EB Bass, the Bangalore based Audio Specialists, installed the super compact sub under the seat - today. . Have a look! |
Hello,
thats a new thing. How effective is the bass punch for mids and highs. And can you share more details on the how it is fixed to the existing setup. Have you not used additional amp for this new woofer?
Thanks.
Guys i am planning to buy Nexon Petrol XZ Plus variant and recently i checked the updated price of the model at 8.90 lakhs from the existing 8.72 lakhs quoted to me in December 2017. I knew there will b a hike in prices come 2018 but not sure the prices are uniform throughout India. I stay in Kashmir and the dealer gave me an inflated price for every Nexon model by about 15 to 18000. Is the hike in prices same throughout the country or it varies for each state. Attached are the current and previous prices for Nexon in Srinagar Kashmir which were given to me by the dealer.

On top, AMT launches should further assist.:thumbs up |
Seems Nexon prices are going to be revised. Don't know about showrooms but the website says so.

Amp would not be required here. But I also want to know how this has been connected, and the result.

All dealers are more or less the same in Bengaluru and typically try to manipulate delivery timelines, insurance quotes etc . Mr Suraj of TML HQ, Mumbai came to my rescue and helped a few other BHPians right from booking till delivery. I can put you in touch with him. You can send a mail to my mail id shared a few pages back on this thread, if required . All the best :) |
Hi ar134,
I am having some issues with registration of my Nexon XZ+. I will drop you an email, if you can put me in touch with him please:. Hope this will resolve the final hiccup!
@Kommandogerat - heartiest congratulations on your new shiny baby. I have also booked a Glasgow Grey Petrol XZ+ in the last week of December and would be getting the delivery this weekend. Did notice that you have not yet put up new seat covers. Are you planning to do it from the showroom or an aftermarket job? Also, any accessories which you have gone for?
Hi, the mids are considerably higher now. You wont get a full blown Sub-woofer performance, but to me boot space is very much required so this under seat option. It's powered and doesn't need an additional amp.

I think he has sliced the rear speaker connector wires and used it as sub input.

Guys I finally booked the nexon from Concorde Guindy Chennai. I selected dual tone Moroccan blue xz plus diesel. Price increased 17300 from today for onroad diesel xz plus dual tone.
Any scoop on Nexon AMT.
Will ill be offered in XZA+ trim?
Will it come with hill assist?
I was planning to book Nexon this month. But if AMT is around the corner and coming with hill assist, probably I can wait a month.
