Re: 2022 Hyundai Venue Facelift Review

I was just browsing through Hyundai India's website (https://www.hyundai.com/in/en) and I was a bit surprised to see no DCT option mentioned in the Transmission Options of the Venue.
I think it's a mistake.

Re: 2022 Hyundai Venue Facelift Review

Can anyone tell me about the 1.2 ltr Petrol Sx Manual option? I've been thinking about it but the review doesn't include it. My running is not going to be much except the occasional long tours so going for diesel doesn't make sense. Went to the showroom to check it out and get the quotation and it is costing Rs.12.70 lakhs but is missing features such as cruise control, automatic IRVMs, alloy wheels, 6 airbags. Should I go for it?

Re: 2022 Hyundai Venue Facelift Review

Hello Everyone,
This is my first post on Team BHP and I would love to share my experience with the New Hyundai Venue for all the newcomers.
I purchased the Hyundai Venue SX 1.2L Petrol MT in November 2022 and have covered approximately 1k kms. Since my highway running was low I chose this engine. It is perfect to ride in city conditions. The car is perfectly sized, the clutch response is smooth and the steering is really light.
The only complaint I have is they should have provided Rear Washer and Wiper with this, the rest of the features like Alloy wheels, cruise control, etc. are feel good factors and can be given a skip.

Both of these can be retrofitted in Hyundai cars, there is a guy in Navi Mumbai who does this and many other mods he also have a YouTube channel.

City Mileage has been between 10-11 and I have not done any highway tours but I am expecting it to be around 14. Since power delivery is very linear, highway you will have to pull it a lot more.

According to a leaked document, the 1.2-litre petrol version will be available in four variants: E, S, S(O), and SX. The 1.0-litre engine will be offered in S(O) and SX(O) trims with either iMT or 7-speed DCT. The 1.5-litre diesel engine will be offered in S+, SX and SX(O) variants, while the N Line will come in N6 and N8 trims.

The S trim will be equipped with an 8-inch infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity, steering-mounted audio control, voice recognition and a 4.2-inch digital instrument cluster. This variant will get 15-inch steel wheels, keyless entry, TPMS, automatic headlamps, ESC, HAC, electric ORVMs and rear AC vents.

The S(O) trim will get side airbags in addition to the driver and passenger airbags. This variant is also likely to get LED projector headlamps, LED taillights, a rearview camera, a height-adjustable driver’s seat, and cruise control.

As per my source the Venue 2023 is already in transit and the changes are effective immediately. These changes are introduced with respect to upcoming RDE & Safety norms and will also see price updates shortly.

Key changes would be ISG Introduction [ similar to idle stop start], 4/6 Airbags Standardization , other safety features addition in lower variants, all 4 disc brakes .

And such changes are due in other Hyundai Cars as well in Feb / Mar before the norms kick in.

Re: 2022 Hyundai Venue Facelift Review

I own 2019 batch venue DCT and it had door vibrations from the beginning. I got the door damping done and it was fine for 2 years, but recently it has started vibrating again. The local technician in Karol baug suggested me to get the door replaced ( the inner plastic part).
Has anyone else faced this issue? What is the solution for this? I know it's a very small issue but it's annoying as hell for me. Please suggest.

Re: 2022 Hyundai Venue Facelift Review

Cross posting from the older venue thread since I did not get a response.

I have a 2020 Venue and some software update is showing up as available that I cannot install. Am getting a message asking to check the storage device. Can someone let me know how to go about this please? Do I need to go to the service center or is it something that can be downloaded on a phone/USB drive and installed?

Re: 2022 Hyundai Venue Facelift Review

Does anyone have experience with the Venue Diesel engine? Is it smooth and would you recommend?

I’m considering getting a Manual avenue - top spec. Only way to get it is to get Diesel. I’ve not used Diesel cars before and checking if any concerns I should be aware of.

Hi tubby! Considering it's almost 10 months since you having gotten the car. What sort of fuel efficiency are you extracting out of it? More concerned towards choc-a-block traffic figures. Would be great if you could put some more light onto it.

Hi, I have gotten combined mileage of ~13kmpl. On highway runs, I have gotten 16-17 kmpl when driving at speeds of 90-100 kmph. Mileage in the city (BLR) drops to < 10 kmpl. I think the poor mileage is due to a combination of very short distances (<3 km) that I frequently use the car for plus office commute in the horrendous ORR stretch.
