Are they out of the body line owing to spacers ? How has the ride quality been ? I have heard the Crossdrive’s have a very good build quality compared to the outgoing CZAR. Do they rub anywhere in the wheel well ? At articulation ?
Hey Bud,
apologies for the late reply.
Yes, they protrude slightly due to the spacers.
Ride quality is good.
28k done till now & can go till 60-70k km easy.
Yes, they do rub, but in the mud flaps & not in the wheel well, while turning.

Re: Mahindra Scorpio-N Review

Since the past one week I find the range of my car shows a constant 999 kms whether the fuel is less or more. However the mileage figure (Kms/L) is working.

Has anyone faced this issue and knows how to resolve it ? Switching the car off and on does not help.

Re: Mahindra Scorpio-N Review

Seems like Mahindra has silently added a few extra features to the latest Z8L variants arriving at dealerships - front ventilated seats (driver and co-driver) and an auto-dimming IRVM.

Software glitch most probably. I face this lot of times. Especially after refill. It wont go away by restarting, either it corrects itself automatically or gets corrected during the next refill.

Another "normal" thing by Mahindra .

Re: Mahindra Scorpio-N Review

Seems like Mahindra has also introduced a few more features to other variants. The Z8 S, Z8 and Z8L also get a wireless charger and gloss-black finish on the centre console while the midnight black is no longer exclusive to Z8S.

They really hate their early batch customers, don't they.

Will there be an aftermarket solution for this? Of course, dealerships and workshops will say "not compatible!"

True, it's been loud and clear in multiple threads on this platform as to why not to buy vehicles right after launch.

But the charm of low price at launch attracts far too many in return for possible feature distribution rejigs or mechanical niggles. More so with Mahindra & Tata

Auto dimming IRVM can be installed in any car, be it a Nano or a Buggati. Main thing the pre July 2024 customers will miss is the Ventilated Seats!

Re: Mahindra Scorpio-N Review

Additions to the Z8 lineup (Z8/Z8S/Z8L) include wireless charging with active cooling and a piano-black center console finished in high gloss.

Some instances I've noticed them removing features as time goes by but times have changed and they're forced to adapt.

Re: Mahindra Scorpio-N Review

These features are wonderful addition to the Z8L and honestly were very much expected in the top end model since the Scorpio N was introduced in the market. I am currently touring the Ladakh circuit I have been missing the utility of these features and now even more so. As a Z8L 4xplore owner who bought the car 7 months ago, I feel I have been off-timed by Mahindra.
The Z8L becomes more value for money now, or has Mahindra jacked up the prices too?
I would really request them to introduce an upgrade pack.

Re: Mahindra Scorpio-N Review

Hey folks!

Regarding the silent upgrade from Mahindra on the S-N line up. I spoke to my SA, Customer Care via Instagram. They are all on the same page. These features come from factory and not possible for retrofit. My SA however told me that if part number is available to order with workshop it can be done. Auto dimming IRVM would not be difficult. The ventilated seats would sure be a challenge. I feel one would need to order both the front seats and scrap their existing ones (without any exchange benefits).

Re: Mahindra Scorpio-N Review

Hmm... I've been waiting for these actually. Considering the hassle in retrofitting the ORVM from some other brand, I'd definitely pay the premium and get these once they become available on Boodmo or something.

On the same track, would it be possible to retrofit the full driver console (MID and guages) from a Z8L to a Z4?
