Re: Honda Elevate Review

According to my dealer they are giving preference to the exports which are primarily ZX CVT.[/quote]

Visited the stockyard yesterday of my dealer for PDI. I could see only the ZX variant of the ELEVATE in R and old model. I checked with the stockyard manager and he said 95% of models coming in are only ZX. I guess very few takers for lower variants!

My 2 cents.

If you can stretch your budget for Creata SX or SX tech go for it. Lower variants don't appeal to me.

Else Elevate is a fantastic package in this price band with all the required goodies.

All the best and let us know your final thoughts

The same case with S. The vehicle also operates the gear. If I am coming downhill and I want to reduce my speed, I will shift down. But the vehicle may shift it back up.
Can someone please clarify this?
In D: For engine braking, use paddles to shift down 1 or 2 gears. Don't press accelerator. The moment you press accelerator, the car will be in full auto and upshift/downshift depending upon speed/engine rpm. One thing to take care is, there is no hill descent control i.e on steep inclines, car speed will increase, similar to manuals. In such cases, drop down 1 more gear and use brakes as needed.

In S: After downshifting, even if you press the accelerator pedal, the car will not upshift. It will hold the gear. However, if the car speed is low for the gear, it will downshift.

Re: Honda Elevate Review

I had the same observations and confusion and ended up buying ZX Elevate.

My reasons to choose Elevate over Creta

VFM - My budget was 20L and this was better package compared to Creta.

Ease of driving - Fantastic seating position and great visibility all around. The lane watch camera is great for left side blind spot monitoring.

Reliability - Honda is know for this. They provide 3+2 years warranty and extendable to 10 years.

Ergonomics - Things are there where you need them. The dashboard is not cluttered with buttons.

Safety - Since it is based on the City platform and the launch presentations talked about enhanced safety, I believe Elevate is structurally safer.

Uniqueness - So many Cretas out there. Many of my relatives did not even know a vehicle like Elevate exists. So some novelty factor is there.

Space - Better knee room and bigger and more usable boot. It can accommodate two 21-inch and two 25-inch suitcases. Found these pics on Honda's Japan website for WRV. That site has some good practical images.

Thank you everyone for your inputs. After much deliberation, I've booked Elevate ZX as it was appearing to be better value for money. Also, although cabin noise at higher speeds is better in Creta, we felt Elevate had a tad bit better handling. I might consider aftermarket dampening for cabin insulation.
Also, nothing against people who like this feature, but I personally always used to find panoramic sunroof a compromise on safety and recently saw a video on YouTube which reinforced my belief.

Were all of these just CVT? Or were there any Manual R variants?

All ZX old models were having Bridgestone tyres mostly. All R model had MRF tyres.
A lot of them were manual, I would say 70% manual and 30% CVT.

I heard a rumour that in July month Honda is going to announce price drop on all of its models. Can this be confirmed and substantiated by anyone?
In case of invoicing assuming prices drop will the dealer apply the new lower price or higher agreed price?
What is the industry practice here?

Once price reduction is announced, all invoicing will carry the NEW applicable rate.

So if you are sure about the price reduction, hold onto your payments. Once your payment is processed and vehicle alloted to you, you cannot argue/fight over price drop!

Re: Honda Elevate Review

One small information I would like to share with the Honda Elevate owners and prospective buyers here. One of my friends recently bought the top variant Elevate CVT. In mid-March, they visited interiors of Kumaon like Malari (near Niti valley). Last week (3rd week of June), he completed the Spiti circuit. Chandratal to Manali took 6 hours. He informed that the front bumper plastic got few hits. Except those minor damages, they didn't face any other problem / issue. He is fully satisfied and happy with his Honda Elevate CVT car.

Ok thanks! Since it’s the end of the month I think it’s worth taking the gamble. I am certain prices won’t increase since all car companies have announced discounts.

After driving test drive vehicle when I drove my new ZX CVT R, I felt NVH levels were better in R variant. So far I am quite happy with my recent purchase of elevate.

Congratulations on your new car. Can you check if they have improved the door beading for better insulation? The pre R model had only half beading on the bottom half of the door.

Try Spinny for your Brio, i believe they will provide you the best quote.
Cars24 is also good, but their quote validity is only 24 hours, post which they keep on reducing the amount.
One problem with Spinny is that, they will take around 90 days for the sale of the car. That means a 'latakti talwar' on your head'

WRT my new Elevate, I opted for the VX CVT R (2024) variant. I was told if I ope for the VX CVT - Non R version, I can get better discounts, but the 6 airbags vs 2 airbags was enough to push my decision in the "R" variants favour.

Cheers,
ac

Booked the Elevate. Stretching the budget for Creta Sx Tech or Sx(O) with 1.5 NA IVT didn't make much sense to me. I decided that I didn't want to stretch my budget for anything other than Kushaq 1.5 DSG which would have been more of an emotional call considering that Elevate satisfies most of my driving requirements, i.e. predominantly city driving.
