You mentioned that you are going to test drive the C3 Aircross. Did you happen to do that? I wanted to get the perspective of a fellow 'enthusiastic' driver on that car's driving capabilities.

Interesting rebadging exercise of the Citroen by Vauxhall here in the UK:

More so because it's an EV!

Re: Citroen C3 Aircross Review

New Citroën C3 Aircross (2024) for Europe:

Citroen C3 Aircross Review-img_6611.jpg

Quote:
Although they have similar design principles from the Stellantis Group's Smart Car program, the two vehicles differ greatly. Technically, on the one hand, since "our" second-generation C3 Aircross benefits from a reworked platform to meet the requirements of the European market. Aesthetically, on the other hand, the car destined for the Old Continent adopts the style of the new C3 itself prefigured by the Oli concept. The first official images just released by Citroën confirm this radical change compared to the C3 Aircross launched in 2017.
Quote:
Citroën promises a large interior space. To aim even wider, the SUV will be available as a 136 hp micro-hybrid as well as an electric one, as indicated by the "ë" badge of the Citroën ë-C3 Aircross visible in the teaser. This variant will compete with the future Skoda Elroq. According to our information, two "zero-emission" powertrains are expected to be offered, one offering 136 hp with around 300 km of WLTP range, the other with 156 hp and around 400 km of WLTP range.
Quote:
In terms of styling, there are steep front and rear faces, a vertical bonnet and roof, angular C-shaped front and rear lights open outwards, as well as the new Citroën logo generously sized in the centre of a thin grille. The presentation model features a dark green body contrasted by a white roof.
Citroën will unveil the new C3 Aircross in more detail today.

Citroen C3 Aircross - Europe

At 4390mm, the C3 Aircross is some 200mm longer than the first-generation family crossover, boosting practicality and adding the option of seven seats.

Citroën hasn’t revealed which specific powertrains the C3 Aircross will be offered with, but its sister car comes with a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine with 90bhp and a five-speed manual, or a three-cylinder mild-hybrid engine with a six-speed dual-clutch transmission.

The electric ë-C3, meanwhile, is likely to come with a single-motor powertrain with around 134bhp and almost 250 miles of range.

Citroen should have launched this exact car instead of the cheapened out version that they launched in India . This European model could have been priced at Creta nearabouts and should have easily done 3000-4000 units monthly instead of the poor triple digits sales it does currently. High time Citroen realizes Indians aren't price conscious, but value conscious. They seem to have skipped Nano, Etios, Logan, Lodgy, Datsuns, BRV/Mobilio, Sail/UV-A, Enjoy or (closer home, their own C3 )case studies

Something interesting here:

https://economictimes.indiatimes.com...7.cms?from=mdr

It is good to see Citroen going in ways that Fiat/Jeep have not gone yet. Looping in someone like MSD coupled with increasing touch points will definitely help them with otherwise sorted cars.

Re: Citroen C3 Aircross Review

The upcoming Opel Frontera. Essentially an Opel skin on the C3 Aircross. I reckon it would be built in India for global markets alongside the C3 Aircross.

Both Opel and the Citroen versions look smart.

Re: Citroen C3 Aircross Review

C3 Aircross SUV debut with new features, launch expected soon (8th Aug?)

Quote:
The C3 and C3 Aircross now feature LED projector headlights and ORVM-mounted turn indicators.

The C3 includes a new 7-inch fully digital driver’s display and both cars now feature auto AC and six airbags.

Features like a 10.2-inch touchscreen and steering-mounted controls continue to be on offer.

The powertrain options are likely to stay unchanged for the updated models.

Both updated models are expected to be launched soon at a premium over their existing prices.
The updated Citroen models retain their exterior design but now feature LED projector headlights, replacing the previous halogen units. The outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs) now feature integrated turn indicators and the front fenders where the indicators used to be before, now have a new Citroen badging. Additionally, the cars now include a rear windshield wiper with a washer.

Inside, the dashboard remains similar, but the C3 now boasts a new 7-inch fully digital driver’s display, sourced from the C3 Aircross SUV. In terms of feature additions, both the cars now get auto AC and the power window switches have moved from the centre console to the door pads and also get electronic adjustment.. However, there is still no push-button start-stop feature on offer.

On the safety front, Citroen has equipped the C3 and the C3 Aircross with a hill hold assist, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and a rear parking camera.

Re: Citroen C3 Aircross Review

Just like Basalt, even C3 Aircross to get the 1.2 naturally aspirated three cylinder petrol engine.

Re: Citroen C3 Aircross Review

If Citroen gives us Cruise Control feature and increase its dealership count in India, I feel that its sale numbers can grow in exponential way!

Problem is that they are missing out on basic features, Also since there are no dealerships in many major cities; its acting as a major hindrance for their growth.

I had requested for a test drive 1 month back and still there is no contact or update from Citroen. Sad situation for such car makers in India. How can they increase their footprint?

Re: Citroen C3 Aircross Review

Good to see that Citroen has taken feedback and have now plugged most of the gaps that were dealbreakers - Automatic, Auto AC, Rear window controls, Folding Key FOB, LED Projector Lights and ORVM Indicators.. It now seems to be a much plusher car and should be added to most folks list of card to evaluate before they pull the trigger. Hoping to consider it as a second car, based on the final pricing.

Re: Citroen C3 Aircross Review

2 days ago, I was in the metro watching a review of the Aircross on YouTube. Someone taps me & says, "I work at the Citroen showroom; you must try the car". I obliged & took a test drive today. Everyone at the showroom seemed dull & uninterested except the SE. The car is an overgrown C3 with staid interiors. However, take the car out on the road, & you feel so connected with its awesome ride. Excellent suspension tuning.

Agree 100% to this. A visit to their showroom feels like they have themselves given up.

However for some reason I kind of like the car. What was the variant to test drives? Recently saw a post on their Instagram page with some new variant with a few more features (auto AC, dash cam) but ofcourse still lagging behind competition.

Re: Citroen C3 Aircross Review

I have been messaging Citroen to arrange for a TD of Basalt. They want me to come to their Navi Mumbai service center rather than they coming to me. See, if you want to sell a car, you have to go to customers; Heck, even ISUZU got the V-Cross than these guys. Learn a thing or two from Maruti, even the guy selling a Wagon R is more passionate to sell it, than the folks at Citroen selling 4 models under 1 roof.

They had the old C3 Aircross for the test drive. They are yet to receive the new Aircross & the Xplorer variants.
