Restoration: Renewing my Rajdoot 175 (1972 Model)

Finally, today the dealer sent me the drum set. Here are the pictures that he sent me. The drum is genuine SHL POLAND manufractured and the drum plate is Rajdoot company manufactured. Both are unused old stock. Although I had to buy the drum under compulsion but now it has become my most prized possession.

The pictures are not high quality but it does the job. When it reaches me I will post some more pictures untill then fingers crossed.

Feeling really happy today that finally I would be able to close my bike once and for all.

By the grace of GOD my motorcycle is totally complete.

Today I tried to start my bike after last ride but it didnt started subsequently I checked many things like spark plug, etc but all in vain. So, I decided to install my old carburettor for the time being (while I clean the new carburettor).

The old carburettor has every thing new like slide, main jet, pilot jet, needle jet, jet needle, seat and pin, slide spring, choke and piston, gasket and o ring, Float, float pin, float cup but its float level is not set.

So instead of using nonstandard techniques I used the technice priscribed in the manual by using float leve gauge that is mandreal type. I didnt had this mandreal tpe floal level gauge, So I decided to fabricate one for myself using a bottle cap and marked 28mm.

By this way i tuned my carburettor without any problem and its working just good.

Complete Mechanical toolkit used during restoration process.

OE tool kit [Open ended spanner(set of 5 spanner)], Tommy bar and box spanner, Magnet puller, screw driver], Bearing puller, Crank case bearing puller AKA Fan bearing puller, Screw Driver set of two, pipe wrench, adjustable wrench, pliers, Nut wrench set of 3, "T", Socket & Screw, Vintage Hercules cycle hole wrench.

P.S- Picture of circlip pair & Electrical/Electronic tools would be uploaded later.
