Am I allowed to cry in this forum??? @ronk, your car brought my memories back of the same color Premier Padmini I grew Up in, She was more than our car, she was my sis, my extension, After I left Kolkata to delhi, she was sold. Guess my dad never loved her so much.

BTW RONK, take good care of her, and she will never let you down.

O.T. If any bhpians come to know of a premier padmini, with the number WNF5196 Please P.M. me. I had been looking for the car to re-aquire it for too long.

Nope, as ronk said, its the original instrument cluster/panel that came with 1100 delights....it was changed 'back' to the horizontal single-piece one from the 'President' model onwards.

Actually the last of the Delights in 71 (ish) featured the black faced red needle meter we grew familar with on Padminis.

And I thought all this while that this was a padmini meter on this car!
The ashtray of course is a later one right? Because I've seen even presidents with the chrome-top ashtray.

Later Delights and most Presidents came with a black ash tray, including mine...actually Ive never seen a President with a chrome ash tray.

Hmm......well I thought the car I had recently come across (with the delight grille & president type meter) was a president (it happened to have a chrome ashtray)...maybe it was a delight only...
