May not be terribly original looking but is very practical. Most Ambys in Kerala feature this rounded corner on the boot.

Very practical. Very very practical. I've cut my cheek several times on this edge in my dad's amby.

As some others have said, the rrounding off of the edges was a very popular mod for ambys in Kerala. I quite like how it looks, it matches all the curves that the car already has, so let I it be!

GUYS! Please Help me decide the colour! Im having second thoughts on the green and white combo after many members vetoed it. Now since the car was blue originally, i'm planning to revert to that shade, but am not sure which shade of blue it was. Can somebody post a pic of the blue which caame on Landy's??

Also, im totally smitten by this colour on the select, how would this look in a landy?? Is it close to the original 'Peacock Blue'??

My '57 Hindustan Landmaster Restoration. EDIT : Project complete. PICS on pg.11-2.jpg

NICE! Go for it, Jay - it looks really nice. Beats the horrible green and white combo anyday. Forget the original peacock blue and dont listen to Prabhu.

Update: The painting is more or less complete. The car is now out of the booth, and looks Fantastic, i heard. Can't see it since i'm still in coimby. The colour is somewhat close to the original, but a has lil more blue and a lil less green. The seats have been finished, and looks great. the finishing work will be complete by tomorrow, and the assembly will follow!!

Brand new whitewalls actually have a protective substance applied on the whitewalls. It wears off eventually, and the original white reutrns.
