![]() Hey chevell Guy have done a few spins in it , ran into some fuel feed problems, the fuel off take is slightly (1inch) above the tank floor hence kept running out of fuel even though gauge said a few litres was available !1 goes like a bat outta hell now and the rubber/aluminium sheet has done wonders for the noise, vibration and heat, watch this space on sunday for formal roll out !1 lo to the girls polly

![]() Hi Polly. Absolutely amazing ...great job it looks really neat and I am sure drives that way too...you are a very fortunate person to have fround the right car and had the services of teh right people to get to this from where you started. That filter on the end of your snorkel is detracting from the looks of the car. Suggest you bend the tube to face forward and get rid of the mushroom type filter you have on it...will look really nice, asnd since you already have a filter under the bonnet it will not harm the engine anyway.

![]() I've been following team-bhp longer than I've been a member. I never posted before beacuse I didn't want to simply add a post, but am glad that I am doing so today. Couldn't have found a more compelling urge to post than this. I have followed your build avidly for a very long time now, and the wait I must say couldn't have been rewarded better. Adjectives could be any permutations of A-Z, multiplied a zillion times. Knowing the kind of attention to details you have put into it, that Snorkel fitment is the cleanest I have ever witnessed anywhere and the use of those diamond checked aluminium sheet is so - well again its beyond words. You have raised the bar so high, the only analogy I can think of is the Barcelona team of 2008-2009. Wishing you happy days ahead. ![]() Thank you already for the most exciting journey of the build, felt like a part of it throughout - courtesy your meticulous documention and posts.

![]() Guys, if you knew Polly you would realize that this attention for detail/dedication is normal for him. I have seen it in his model making, painting, and even his writing (look at this post). The biggest compliment I could give him is, he enjoys the process more than the final product, which means the end product is always, JOB WELL DONE.

![]() Fantastic job Polly - congratulations! it looks like a brand new car!. Love some of the details like the door pocket, grab handle etc. By the way, the mushroom top snorkel is the correct part and goes very well with the rest of the car.

BHPian ![]() | ![]() Easily the best 4x4 restoration I've seen! I so wish we hadn't sold our Landy in the 1990s. Alas, I'll have to live vicariously through gentlemen like you! You know what could be better pics for you to click? Take it off-road and get it all muddy!! That would be a perfect tribute to a wonderful vehicle Cheers, Adi |

![]() hey thanx all you guys on teamBHP who take time off to say kind things to un known people. Most of all id like to thank each one of you who has encouraged me , a part of each one of you has made up this car. particularly like to thank Tonrag who planted the seed, my son Shaurya and partner in crime(who also took all the pics btw), and family who egged me on to reach higher standards and the smallest detail. Ajit Komini, through him Neil law, and Ashok Goyal who trawled the land rover grave yards in faraway Siliguri. Abhishek Dzulu, Sanjay David, Kedar and offcourse my three and a half man team of mechanics who worked with gr8 craftmanship on a vehicle theyd never seen before. lastly Phil who supports all my crazy endeavours with gr8 patience, humour and fortitude from the UK. regards Polly Last edited by Polly Singh : 15th March 2010 at 20:09.
