No Shankar, I haven't had the chance to go helmet shopping again. Was out of town.
So you are saying that GPR are infact good. Didn't know that. Will keep this in mind when shopping. Thanks bro.

BTW can you suggest some good helmet shop in bangalore?

- Jag

I bought from Balaji, but they never tried to forcefully sell me any helmet.

Well you're welcome ;)

Btw Dhaijya from planet-dsg are pretty good, atleast better than GPR. I picked up this one for 5k http://planetdsg.com/images/imagecac...Tribal-Red.jpg

They have just opened up in blore. Motomania, No 311, 100ft Road Indiranagar. They arent easy to find though, atleast not yet. Once you cross CMH road junction moving towards old madras road, keep an eye on the left a few hundred meters down for building number 311, the shop is in the basement.

Was unable to find any decent helmet in Hyderabad.
I tried in a couple of places, but all they had was the above mentioned brands. Was not even able to find Studds or Steelbird.
Did not like any of them.

so finally waited till my visit to Chennai to get a helmet.

I heard later helmets are available in motorcylce showrooms, you may try them out.

Hi,
I recently bought a 'BHP Racing' helmet which I felt is relly good. Two of my friends also bought the same. I paid INR.4000. The shops name is 'evergreen collections' in Abids (just after crossing MPM Big Bazaar, there is a big shopping complex on left side, which houses many helmet shops).

Guys,
Many of you have seen the world war II german movies, I really love the german helmut that is used by the germans. I once saw a crome plated one. Generally comes in Cammy green. Does anyone know where to get atleast a replica one.?

Ok, i'm back to square one - Both Funkys and dreambikes dont have GPone visors.

Anyone - help me with a clear GPone visor!

Superavi

P.s. in mumbai/pune

i suggest u buy a agv. its the best helmet money can buy.
u have both subtle and hyper designs

The indian agv's are crap, just bought one last week, the fit is crap and i'm looking to get rid of it now. GPR and Daijya are anyday way better, even the old GPOne was good except for the visor.

i think studs ninja is also an economical option. it avaliable is avaliable around rs 900 in delhi.

Studs ninja is a very old design and that flip-chin design will never give you a good protection.

Most of the chin-up designs the world over doesnt offer good protection as their fixed chin counterparts.

Finally visited the store. Its in the basement of Tangerine.

They had just a couple of models in Dhaijya. All looked the same to me except for the graphics. The fit and finish seemed ok. I guess the visor can be replaced w/o removing any screws. The shopkeeper didn't seem much informed about the same.

The price quoted was 5.5k for all models with no warranty. Not sure if its worth the price.

Helmet search continues

PS: Any idea how is House of Helmets in Residency Road Cross? Got their visiting card at Vahan Yatra.
